I'm sure I was back then. Most incredulous.
You certainly weren't a Hallmark card of passive trust yourself back in the day! heh-heh
Might as well add this one. LOL!! We topped out and stashed our gear and zipped down the East Ledges. Don't take the Tamarac Flat trail, do the East Ledges even if you're way over to the west. Should've remembered that but it was suggested by someone and we didn't check it out better. We came back a couple days later to carry the gear out. Way too long a walk with bags. Brutal. It was totally worth the trek though as we lay on our backs near the lip tied in around the waists watching a peregrine hovering about 50 feet above our heads and riding thermals blasting up the face. He looked down at us wondering what was up.

Cool! I wish we'd had more time to spend there, but it was a little hectic trying to squeeze in the Dacks, NH, ME and a party in southern NH into a week and a bit.
This was us at the top of Moby Grape, last Tuesday. Did you see all the bear scat around? A fellow we caught rope soloing (and incorporated into our group) said he'd actually seen the bear down on the talus field a few days earlier. It was about all I could think about while belaying down at the bottom, though you have to figure blackberries are probably tastier than I am...

Allison took this photo from atop pitch 3, so the bear's kinda tiny. I'm assuming the bear's a she, so I can post her in this thread. ;)

A cool tiny she-bear. And I believe that this bottom-heavy chipmunk who just ate someone's sandwich is also a she.
OK, back on topic:

I think we need Tar to start up thread #10!
If he does, I bet I could scrounge up some pics for it...

I'll second GO's suggestion.
