with my vast online military and survival training in world catastrophes I could foresee that this would be an apocalyptic event, and so I called some highly trained friends to help

but they said they were a busy protecting some cows and when I told them that we might be targeted by drones, they opted out.

So I called some real warriors

we called Ron and he got us some serious firepower

then we learned from moosedrool that the aliens were spying on us. So we decided to do some spying of our own.

We never did find any aliens..

we then laid in some supplies..

At this point we sort of forgot what was happening

It was epic, but with advanced online training and planning, we survived.

Beautiful weekend here. Estimates for clients, maintenance at my grandmas house, yard work, gardening, a hike, and then a day with my lady in the city. We played hoops (I'm short and terrible, but make up for it with agility), cooked great vegetarian food, more hiking, burned some greenery, and in all, a great weekend.

I lurked behind the fence by my neighbors yard for the two days and occasionally hurled random obscenities and insults at him. It made me feel so superior.

Now that is funny!

Kept myself distracted by doing tilework on a swimming pool/hot tub/water feature. Ended up with a "Lockout Oh-Fourteen" souvenir sunburn.

Painted the cabin, caught a matinee. Thought about going climbing but just went back to the painting.

CMac required us to either be spayed or neutered when we signed up.

They've been adding salt-peter to the Olde Englishe for several weeks in preparation.

Went climbing, that was really cool despite it being bug season and actually rather warm. But cool because I managed (just barely) to onsight a pitch I'd been looking at and fretting over for weeks.

It was great, I love that route! Not a huge fan of the 5.7 no pro sections but at least they're straightforward and the cruxes are well protected.

The best part was meeting Dave Hickey up on top, it's the first time we've crossed paths and it was funny doing so after cursing him and EC for the previous few hours while searching for any sort of pro :)
