Yup! Missed this one first time around. Indeed it was both Charlie Fowler and Mike Munger who jumped the Diving Board in Eldorado Canyon. Mike is still climbing. He helped me on a rebolting project on Devil's Thumb in Boulder's Flatirons several years ago. The Eiger Nordwand (in 1976!), Super Couloir on Fitzroy, FA on Mount Watkins, etc.....nice resume.

Love this! Bump... As for drinking in streams... If you knew the mercury levels left over from the Gold Rush. (They used mercury to separate the gold from the rock. Usually the guy they hired to do it died within five years.) Yeah, the levels are pretty high in the Sierras since 1849. Simply, don't do it.

The jumper's costume did indeed look like Scotty Burke.

Can't remeber the context, but Rich Perch once said: "Munger's never gripped."

Burt Angrist rope jumped off the Twilight Zone roof at the 'Gunks - probably some time in the late '60s.
No surprise there.
