Jstan, I think any internet "discussion" sooner or later contains words that form a literal threat.

I believe it's quite rare. This is the first I've seen of a physical threat directed at a "real person".
Regardless it's beyond the bounds of insulting banter.

It's about time Ron had the courage to show himself and apologize to all.

Then we can all go back to calling each other playground names.

Not really how this has evolved, John, but I still agree with the general sentiment.

There's a big difference between the kind of ripping that takes place within this forum every single day, vs. seeking the personal information of other people and posting it here with vindictive intent. Or reporting one of your ST foes for the unauthorized use of a copyrighted image, and then posting an unauthorized, copyrighted image to try and out another foe.

Ron, your ballcuppees have always had your back on this, no matter how hypocritical that might be...so you got that going for you, anyway.

There's plenty more here, though, who see the chickenshit slime-level you've stooped to. You've got that going for you, too.

The contributions we as a community can make, become smaller and smaller. Eventually, they will vanish.

I'll repeat what I have said before. When a person is unable to control their emotions they provide prima facie evidence they are unable to handle the situation. The chance they will make an important contribution decreases. It is grounds for others then to ignore them.

I'll give a specific example. JE stays in control and merely points out why his opinion is as it is. His input can't be pushed aside as emotion. It is a rock that has to be dealt with. Where there is expressed emotion, just ignore it.

GL, as far as I'm concerned, what happens in ST Fight Club should stay in ST Fight Club.

Ron apparently doesn't feel similarly, as he clearly decided to go outside of this basic tenet when he reported another person (his longtime foe, who makes my ripping look like child's play) on the transparent ruse of 'unauthorized use of a copyrighted image' (and then does exactly that as a means of targeting another foe).

The ripping that goes on here (esp. in polititard threads) is just part of the territory, and the tolerable levels should be defined by the users, in my view. If it's too harsh, or too stoooopid, that's understandable....just don't participate.

Edit way after the fact:
10b deleted the post I was ribbing him for- something to the effect of "I've been climbing a lot instead of posting, you guys should try it".
I thought he had posted that photo of Fingertrip but it ended up being Burch3y.
So 10b gets butthurt. I apologize, my mistake, I was actually stoked you took my challenge of actually posting some climbing evidence, but it was actually Burch3y!
