98 days, a new low for me this millennium. There's a very good chance that I'll hit 99, but 0% chance that I'll hit 100. I feel kind of bad, as this is the first time since I started climbing that I will not break the century mark.

I had a stretch of 4 years with 200+ days, I suppose those times went away when I reached my ripe old thirties.

Here's the year's adventure breakdown, pure numbers

99 climbing
21 running
28 hiking
5 bike rides
14 indoor workout
3 xc ski days
3 ice climbing

I tried to pay a friend to keep my 8a scorecard up to date, since he was always on there and knew what I climbed anyway. I guess I wasn't paying enough... and I pay myself even less.

Go away, wes. You suck.

You CAN hit 100, Lucander. If you want to.

Not to bag on people who write everything down, but I have been climbing for 40 years and have never really written anything down, other than keeping track of all the rebolting work I do. It just didn't seem that important to me to keep track.

Again, that's not to bag on people who keep track, I(that's just me) never felt like doing it and still don't.

An average of 4 days a week. 208 days. Mostly bouldering this year. Been unemployed and I live in Bishop.

Did this yesterday:

Let me see. I take pictures so I can go back and check. Doing the whole year would take too long so I'll just pick August as a typical month.

Turns out I climbed 20 days in August.

So, 20/31 x 366 = 236 days, which must mean I climbed 108 days in the rain.

Didn't realize I was that hard core.

I have a couple friends who have spreadsheets that go back to at least 1996 when we started climbing together. I doubt they missed more than a week of logging climbing activities in those 16 years. They have even mapped out some of their projects with RF, LF, RH, LH, dyno, drop knee, etc. I love looking back to see when they sent stuff because I know I flashed whatever it was a day or two before. But for me to keep track is just too much work.

In all honesty, I wish I had better record keeping abilities.

At my age, I can get a pretty accurate pitch count/week by counting bruises and dividing by 2.

my records go back to 1970, but they are not complete in the first decade of climbing... usually I note the date of a climb in the guidebook... that allowed me to go back and extract all that info at some point.

then there was a time I was climbing so much that I didn't always get the notes in the guide book, fortunately Gary Carpenter was a very frequent partner during that time and kept good records which he kindly provided for me... probably lost a few climbs in that period though.

not great but not too bad...

I keep pretty detailed notes on climbs above a certain grade, no idea about anything else, number of days, etc. I got more done this year than last, I can see that.
