When people use gov. agencies to illustrate inefficiency I have to wonder. Every time I go into the post office or DMV I see people working very hard to meet an overwhelming demand. You could hire more people to meet the demand but you would have to raise taxes which no one is willing to do.
The GOP platform is based on two complete fantasies. One: the poor in America don’t work. Most work as many or more hours than anyone else, they get paid less than they need to live. If you won’t pay people enough to live on, you have to subsidize them when they get sick or let them die. Two: rich people drive the economy, Give Mitt more money and he will have more money stashed away in the Cayman Islands. It is not trickling down to anyone! Rich people are not dumb. They don't start businesses when the economy is bad. If middle class and poor people have money, they spend it. GDP is 60-70% consumer spending.
