The South Ridge of Gimli in the Valhalla range is spectacular. Moderate climbing up a striking arete to a beautiful summit.

Ranralpaca was a full-value climbing experience, but Artesonraju is an uber classic

Riley can't agree more on Shasta. It is a much different feel than stuff in Sierra. It is all by itself, and has a real mountain feel. I love it. Was m first peak and reason why I got into hiking and than climbing. *but if someone told me I hiked Shasta back in the day, I would want to kick their ass. It was a CLIMB!*
Going there this weekend actually to play on Hotlum glacier seracs and go up the glacier to the top hopefully. Will bring A LOT of food.

I was supposed to be up there this week, but the wife's broken leg put the kibosh on that.
"best" way to many of them, but the only 14er that was anticlimactic was Langley.

Steeple Peak in the Winds is one of the few in the range that you can not walk up. Nice small summit.

Most difficult Torre Egger....most difficult "almost climbed" Latok 1. Most fun, Grand Teton, most unusual Autana (Orinoco Rain Forest), the one I can see from my bedroom, Pisco Sour Tower (Chilean Patagonia).

Mt. Atkinson (aka Peak 12,241).
Honorable mentions go to Cathedral and Clyde (there's a reason these are on multiple lists!).

The Walker Spur in Chamonix. It was the most memorable because we did it in Winter conditions and got hit on the summit by a real bad storm. I was the only climber NOT hit by lightning.

That's a pretty high bar for adventure when you're the only one not hit by lightning! Did you feel left out?

Some really great photos everyone. I see a lot I wanna bag now, especially the Bugaboos. Interesting no one has picked Whitney.
Recess peak for me, but I haven't ever been on a peak that wasn't worthy.

One of the most memorable would have to be Ranrapalca, in the Peruvian Andes, already mentioned by Sharperblue. It was the 7th or 8th ascent. We went overland, and it took 153 days from Camp4 to Ranrapalca and back to Camp4. Five months well spent! This was a couple of years before Chouinard's Fun Hogs Expedition to Fitzroy.

Lotus Flower Tower. Remote location, incredible climbing, challenging weather - this peak has it all. I'm sure I'll never be on a better route.
