Au contraire ...... when it comes to Everest, money is the ONLY thing that will guarantee you a seat at the table. Maybe another example would work better.

Clearly the strutting bully persona online is very different from the man in person. But he knew the score and that this would happen. It wasn't enough to motivate him to reel it in. For some addictive situations, abstinence is the only cure.
Well stated Jaybro. :/

I wonder if he knew the score? It almost seems like he thought he was immune. Perhaps the first reinstatement added to his delusion.

Not sure Fatty's brain is wired right. When proven wrong, he would usually just reply with "you're an idiot" and then change the subject. Odd bird...

I think it would be nice for the banned to say some last words. A poignant goodbye or a reflective comment on how things came to the whacking-- or just telling us to f*#k off.

"I wonder if he knew the score? It almost seems like he thought he was immune. Perhaps the first reinstatement added to his delusion."
When he returned after his first booting, he was clearly contrite- it seemed very obvious he 'knew the score'. All too quickly, though, he slipped back into the same predominantly negative bullshit that was certainly related to his booting.
I doubt he'll be back, either. CMac & co are certainly wiser than that, and to my recollection, fattrad never created an alter-avatar (Rox or LEB-style). Doesn't seem likely he'd start now.

Well it's not as if you have to be some sort of hacker just to create another account--didn't he do that before? [Edit--I think I was thinking of RJ]
The conspiracy theorist in me suggests that the CMac is loath to ban Fattrad and his ilk. It's obvious that he increases site traffic; he's the heel that we all love to hate, over and over.

Fattrad created another account after his first banning.

Notice who he goes after in his first post.

When I get banned I guess that is what I will do. I'd just like to say my final piece under my own avatar.

He created and used the avatar "The Tool" after the last banning. He said he did it because he didn't understand why his "Fattrad" account wasn't working.
And agreed Blahblah. I don't think Chris Mac likes banning anyone. One has to really push it to get the axe here.

If someone walked up to a campfire & started raggin' on ya(and kept it up after you told him to quit it), you'd run him off, right?
'Nuff said.
Have a nice day.

In a sense, the banning of FatTrad, and before him of others - temporarily or permanently - reflects poorly on us. Yes, it's deserved. At the same time, it shows the weakness of internet 'communications'. There's no self-corrective mechanism, unlike most other forms of communication. If our little community worked as it ought, we would have figured out some way to correct FatTrad's objectionable behaviours. It's a communal weakness.
It's odd in that a community that puts so much effort into cleaning up others' messes at things like the FaceLift, can't clean up an internal mess.

My only run in with Jeff was when he let me have A5 hammer #222 because it was my birth date. I usually didn't feel a need to react to his obvious jabs. I won't miss him, but I still owe him some wine.

He was asked several times to stop the Norton attacks. That empowered him even more because he knew he was having an impact. He thought he was invincible.

I'm really reluctant to see anyone banned, but there have been exceptions. The one exception that comes to mind is Medusa, and he really went over the line of sociocultural propriety by attacking Crimpergirl. There have been others who needed to be chastised somewhat, and A. Crowley comes to mind in that regard, since his behavior was boorish in the extreme.
For those of you irritated by Fattrad, LEB, Norton, and a host of others...grow up and GET A LIFE. Adults should be capable of emotionally dealing with various B.S. personae.
