Well. It is for real. Peter is here. There is some serious hero worship on older threads. No group hugs and you'll have to keep us on tenterhooks with your "rest day" activities.

Welcome Peter into the digital world. First the Flip phone, followed by saving numbers and the miracle of caller id. Next was texting and now with an iPhone it is a only a matter of time before Instagram.

gf is your good friend Greg.

You guys purge the undesirables from the forum, then go winking and blowing kisses to someone more worthy of your genius.

I hate it when a man with better boobs than mine. But if it comes with beta when I am contemplating a lead that is hard for me - WELCOME!...and what rack do I need to have for red dihedral? I prefer to have all the info and none of the embarassment that comes when the whining festival begins. I drink my whine alone....

Hi Peter and welcome!

A couple of weeks ago, you and a buddy hiked past me on the way out of the gorge, lol, I poked my boyfriend and said,
"There goes one of the great ones"!

Looking forward to hearing more of your stories:)

Welcome to the campfire Peter!

edit: in regards to the avatar, it is one of the *required fields and labled as *nickname along with *first name *last name. maybe i'm lame, but i had no idea that my nickname was going to predominate my thread until the first time i posted here, so i went with it...but i am pretty sure that everyone here knows by now that i'm a very, very worthy rock god from, BITD. ;)

FWIW, i have only crossed paths with you on one occassion during the Spring of '86. my partner and i were roping up for new d and you rolled up and soloed the route. next we did midterm and werner arrives as we were beggining the first pitch and asked if he could jump on ahead of us and he scoots on up the route. didn't verify it with pics and no cheesecake was exchanged so maybe it never happened. ;))

All respect Peter, I hope this picture jogs your memory of that day. Dave brought us the cheesecake in our camp and said it was from the two of you. Perhaps only Dave was in a sharing mood...Thanks for the beta nonetheless.

Welcome Peter. We've never met, but a black and white poster of you hanging under the Rostrum roof hangs in my garage, inspiring me to crank a couple pull ups when i walk by it on the way to the lawnmower. It hangs by a poster from Fight Club and one from Caddyshack. Just to let you know the company you're in.

Thanks for your continual stoke and for all youve contributed to the alpine gang in guidebooks routes and written word. See you around,
Scott

Piton, No. But he does live in dream world and does drop Babe Ruth's in the pool.

PC, Your article in Alpinist on your Sierra adventures is one of my favorites. Thanks for the plethora of contribution to the sport and community. Welcome to the Taco!
