Depends when where and with what.

(But my mom was dutch and when I was a teenager every friday I would have dinner at her mom's place, and my grandmother rationed me one Heiniken. So I was sort of weaned on it.)

PBR is good when cold and you are thirsty.

For me, whatever's closest.

That said, my Fridge is stocked with Bohemia, Modolo Especial, Spaten Pilsner, and my "lite" beer is Corona, not Corona Lite.

So...these are all the "closest."

Oh, and my grandpa told me that as a boy in Amsterdam his father would send him to the local tavern with a small bucket which they filled with beer. He would then bring it home and place it on the radiator to warm it as per instructions.

Earlier I would of said Heiniken but after seeing Grug in that video where he is tossing and spinning that poor girl I would definitly consider switching to PBR for good.

what jesus bombz said

torpedo in 16-oz? what could possibly compete on a big wall with that? I don't have the stats in front of me, but I bet the Torpedo has an APV close to Olde E or Cobra (maybe 7.5%?)

can't take bottles on the wall, or even to the crag. glad to see a canned beer renaissance taking place: Oskar's is pretty good stuff, and here in Minnesota we have the Surly Furious, which is outstanding (and comes in a climber-friendly 16 oz can):

Liquid dirt for me PLEASE!

PBR = breakfast, lunch and dinner

"Really? It's like who drinks Sam Adams (unless you are trapped in an airport)?"

It appears DMT does.....

Lastly, Olde E on a wall? Equivalent to lawyers riding Harley's and expecting not to receive sh#t when stopping into places like Hell's Kitchen or Cooks Corner.....

lately the game
has been i keep no beer in the house.
i can keep firm knees all day that way.

'cept when i find a dusty wottle of bine.

like yesterday, kids and wife went to
mother-in-laws for some easter time,

i stayed home and promised to clean both bathrooms
and mop the kitchen.

as im pushing the mop in the dingyiest quarters,
i find an old bottle of srah

and uncork it, finish my chores with red-stained-teeth.

now emboldened i hunstle thru the hard pitches
throw my river kayak in the truck
and 30 revolutions of the minute hand later
im floating a serene lake with snow dusted
pines all around. a bald eagle.
some herons.
and me.

then i meet my wife at home and
we both don our finest wears and
we, together catch a Tchaikovsky symphony
in the city,
then some fine indian food
an eastwood movie fore bed
and

there goes the day,
i just got outta its way.

History Inquiry:

When did PBR replace Bud as the official hipster climber beer? How? It seems to have happened sometime in the 2000-2006 timeframe.

Check out the Wed Aug 4 video on http://www.latfh.com/

NAILS IT!

Reshoot that thing in Modern Camp IV and you'd have a winner.
