No one else has asked, so I will. PH, you took a photo of the great "slab" in 1963. Any particular reason for doing so?

Well done Kait and Ammon! Thanks for the close up look at WOS. I have already read the Rock and Ice article, but picked up a copy anyway at Target of all places. Who Knew?

Looking at your pitch 5 and 6 shots, it looks like there are a lot of diagonal traverses between rivets. Did you have trouble recovering rivet hangars when you did the lower-outs?

the article was the best thing I have read in a mag in a long time!
second that, maybe R&I is staging a come back!
Ammon and Kait, when are you going to do some slide shows?
I got an outlet plug in the bed of my truck, 100' extension cord, a big white sheet to project onto, and a projector... just saying a slide show in the forest could be a rockin good time.

Raafie-
On Pitch 5, I did a few lower outs on the traverse. I believe I cleaned all of my tie-offs and rivet hangers except for 1. But I might have swung over and retrieved it after I jugged back up the line. I try to clean everything that I possibly can. We needed all the rivet hangers for the route, and to leave one behind would not be the best option.
Pitch 6 - I lowered out on a rusty old head with a tie-off. Can't remember if I left that tie-off. All I know is that on the entire route I might have left only a couple of tie-offs.
Ammon has taught me to clean all the gear and try not to leave anything behind. Occasionally, when on a wall I will replace tie-offs if one needs to be replaced, but if not, I will use the previous party's tie-off.
