The latest is that he was a hot-head. His ex-wife said that. He beat her unconscious with a brass lamp and was in court for that.

She claims that he would get vocally violent with anyone who disagreed with him. In her case, physically.

He had multiple safety violations with his union shop steward, the worst violator. He was warned that he was going to be kicked out of the union.

Makes sense that he snapped at a safety meeting.

He claimed the usual 'race-card', that it was just because he was black. A friend in Sacramento said he displayed the AK-47, and said it was for settling things at work.

His buddy thought he was joking.

He emptied the 9mm handgun in the meeting at primary targets. Then he picked up his AK-47, I assume from a bag, and unloaded on everybody else in the room after he first locked the door with cord and a piece of wood.

He was prepared to waste everybody. The man who re-counted all this was the union shop-steward. He was hit in the initial 9mm barrage in the arm. He dropped and played dead. He watched him go for the AK and start unloading.

Some people are alive because they jumped through glass windows to escape.

That was in 1992. Since then he'd taken up Christianity, atoned, gone straight. Was considered a leader and mentor for young people in the local black community. Had written a biographical novel, "Amazing Grace" describing his early life and his really bad behavior towards women.
From his ex wife:
Even Valerie Allman, with whom he had a son, had nothing negative to say about him in a brief phone conversation Thursday. She said he was being mistreated by his employer and was "not a time bomb waiting to go off."
Apparently, only the young man in Sacramento had any idea he was about to go off the deep end.

I understand all that, HT, but he buried wounds that eventually killed 3 people. He wasn't 'cured'. I don't care what he wrote abote in a book. He is/was a murderer.

That's it.

agreed. Your earlier post seemed to imply that people might/should have seen this coming. It appears to have all happened within a day or two of the killings.

Yes, if you are taking anti-depressants you have a mental illness that is being treated.... and should not own guns.

Antidepressants as you call them are not only used for mental illness. Some are prescribed them to quit smoking. Others due to cardiac issues. They are not merely used for 'mental illness.'

edit: a wee bit more info from http://depression.emedtv.com/antidepressants/antidepressant-uses.html:

Antidepressants are most commonly used for treating depression. However, these medications can also be used for other conditions as well. For example, newer antidepressants (such as SSRIs, SNRIs, and NDRIs) have been approved for treating conditions such as panic disorder, bulimia, and social anxiety disorder. General off-label antidepressant uses include the treatment of Tourette syndrome, autism, migraines, and premature ejaculation.
