hey REctorsquid: maybe you could tie off your own slings as i did.
Just to make this a climbing thread, I'll mention that I need to get my cam slings replaced. I have a few that are probably nine years old now but since I have not been climbing much, I have not gotten around to replacing them. I'm not sure if I should keep with nylon or go with Dyneema just to be more cool. Nylon is probably better. also, this thread sucks ass!

PPPP,
Maybe the lighter is seeing fulltime duty elsewhere?
And is it just me or is there a distinctly distressing lack of appreciation
of sarcasm here? Could it be a co-symptom of bad grammar?

There's a wonderful word game, in which you add, subtract, or change a single letter and make an entirely new word, then provide a definition for it. For example:
Sarchasm -- the gulf between my wit and your understanding.
And yeah, Reilly, you're right about that distressing lack of appreciation. Oh well...

There are those with the broomhandle of grammar so far up their asses that they would rather split their trousers than an infinitive.

Pyro's water knots are subject to coming untied... I prefer the double fisherman's, aka grapevine knot for my slings even though it's not as pretty when rendered in webbing.
