Wow, that's out of the blue. Is that somewhere right or left of Leapfrog? Quite the bushwhack job. And so who are you and where are you now?

This route is climber's right of Leapfrog/Casual Horrors. The Best Route in Town steps left from the top of the first pitch of In the Land of Thirst and Terror and climbs a steep arrette that looms above an unforgiving left trending overhanging off width called Nightmare, which ties in just above the Leapfrog/Casual Horrors roof.
My name is Chris Schenhoffer. I grew up in Southern Illinois. After I drank my way out of SIUC I moved AZ to finish college. College, best and worst 10.5 years of my life. I currently live on the front range in CO.
How I met Jim is fairly entertaining. I came back to So iLL for an internship at Touch of Nature. I walked into Rick's shop in Carbondale and asked where to go to find big fat dirty off widths. He said Jim was the man, gave me his number. I called Jim and left him a voicemail explaining what I was wanting to climb. I got a voicemail the next day from this guy who was convinced I was playing a really cruel joke but said if I was for real, to meet him at the bluff at 9 am on Saturday. We hadn't actually had a conversation before we met. We racked up a lot of mileage that season. That's how I met Joe. Those were some awesome days at that crag.

Chris, pretty good story - there is no bad way to meet Jim.
Brian in SLC - me too, need to do it soon. I recently traded emails with Dave P. and posted updated beta photos up on MP for Giant City, Jim T-F should probably check them for accuracy.
