sheesh, rincon--been there, done that. well, it is pretty close to downtown.
btw, i'm assuming you didn't make it far enough down that ridge to get to the real destination, or you'd be posting up pictures of the real secret spot. unless you're keeping it secret, of course.
we nicknamed the site of that other pic "consolation crag"--a couple of short, sweet climbs because the main event proved so inaccessible.

I think Peter Haan has been on the opening moves, but besides myself and 1 other dude, that's it. Doesn't look like it, but it's a good 750-800 feet tall. Which makes that crack full body bridging at some points.

Long approach Romand. Although I'm seriously considering blasting straight up from Bear Creek.. dig a trail... maybe via ferrata... If we could only drive to within a half-hour, that thing would be crawling with climbers.
Para-glide from Eagle's Roost perhaps?

>>>Hellhole. In Santa Cruz near the West entrance to UCSC.
I used to go out there in high school, i loved that there were these funny random caves out there, so unexpected.
I always heard there were supposedly 14 more caves scattered around the forest. And there is one across the road that is sealed and locked next to the big one. I never put enough time into looking for more, are the rumors true?
EDIT: And crazytom, that place looks beautiful.

Dfinecy- I used to poke around those caves too. There's the hell hole, one big one right off the road, a few cracks that went down aways, but that's all we found.
I too heard there was more.

CrazyTom, that looks a lot like North Carolina........Whar is that rawk boy? Near Looking Glass?
And Batrock, way to post up some whitewater from back in the day. Thanks.
Here's a couple more of my "own."
Courtright Reservoir is no secret, but it has thousands of lil spots that don't get much travel. You're always scrubbin lichen off your shoes and moss outta underneath yer fingernails up there. We never see another soul, though it's been on the radar for years. This place never gets old.
You'll find none of these boulders in a guidebook....
