Today I lugged frankies up the mountain. Not by choice, mind you, but it certainly put me into aerobic range. This wet bastard must've been 30 lbs.

Well, the approach biathalon to both Reed's and 5 & Dime, today didn't really cut it aerobically. Maybe the laps on Stone groove...
Tomorrow is a trailrunning day though. Last Saturday I ran 15 Miles, I don't think I'm going to top that, tomorrow.

30 minutes 2X/week: 28spm/2:00-2:10/500m
30 minutes 2X/week: strength sprints (24-25spm/1:15-1:30/500m)
...my dog would disown me if I cut into any more of her run time!!
Wildone, I agree with eK: the ashes & ink idea sounds nice.
Brandon, may I suggest subbing an erg workout for a trail run?! You might be surprised... AND it's a heck-of-alot easier on the knees than running while still having the ultimate capability of kickin' yo bootayh!

Nice rower setup! I only row as a warmup or when it comes up in a Crossfit workout and whew is it strenuous. Yet there are people who would rather row 5K than run 5K.

Whoa Nellie, nobody expects the spanish inquisition!
so many choices... for reasons I won't go into, I once had to train for a trail marathon on a step machine.
Another time I took a gym leader fall and broke my foot and ankle. This was Dec 18th. I had another trail marathon set for for February 5th. I couldn't take the impact of running, so I did an intensive training program of Skate skiing and rollerblading. It worked, and I successfully ran one of my slowest marathons on one of the fastest courses!

OK, so I swam 30,300 m in February, which is reasonable, though hardly stellar. (A serious recreational swimmer or triathlete might do twice that.) And it's not going to help me get through the narrows, or the Harding slot. But it helps. Plus I started to do some other stuff - stretches, weights - which should be good for me.
Can't let ThinRad get ahead.

Alrighty, this thread inspired me to finally add regular aerobic/cardio to my workout schedule. I train climbing stuff (hangboard/campus/bouldering/4x4s/core) and some oppositional muscles around a periodization scheme, but I'm lazy and never really do more than random aerobic on my "off" training days and never structured or regularly...maybe once a week, if I'm lucky
Went to the bike shop today, picked up some new bar wrap, and finally a cheap computer. Never, in many many years of road and mtn biking have I put a comp on the bike, always meant to, been "meaning to" for 15 years...also put new batts in the HR monitor so I'm getting serious. So now I can track ride distance/season distance/speed, etc.
Today a little warm up then a quick 10mi blast up to and partially around Lake Perris and back, about 45min of worktime then a 5min or so cooldown.
Got a gym with weight room/bikes/nautilus and locker room/showers where I work, and low traffic flat roads for biking and employer allows 3hrs/week during workday for exercise, so Tue/Wed/Thu I can get it done while on the clock and breakup the workday. Yes!

Put on the backpack with 30 or so pounds and the boots. 2.5 miles over rolling roads. Just wanted to get the feel of it. Gotta start somewhere.

Knee won't let me run but I can do the Stairmaster. 5 Miles or 75 minutes whatever comes first. A little bit of weight work after. It's a 7 days a week thing. Missed 2 days driving up here to Washington a couple weeks ago. Probably won't be able to keep it up when the Outage starts:-)
