Survival you make a very GOOD point. However, this seems to be viewed two ways here, the way we all WISH it could be, and then the reality of the way things are..In your life time do you remember the US under such bs from so many foriegn factors?? I dont.

We've been so "successful" in the desert, with three wars worth of training, techniques and equipment designed for it, that I just can't wait to get back to the jungle, where our last big success was.

One of the service academies would be a good choice for her. 14 huh? Have you fed her enough propaganda to make her willing to sign up for an academy? And what happens if she doesn't get accepted at an Academy? No regular Army for your kid obviously.....

the Apache's had a great system - they would vote before each war (battle) if you voted against the war you could go home no one would think badly about you (many great warriors said no not today). But if you voted for the war you had to fight. If you vote to send the nation to war you had better be ready to die. if you didn't fight or ran they the Apache's would kill you.

I'm old enough to remember when the lunatic fringe Right and the John Birch Society were announcing that there was a 500,000 man Red Chinese Army Baja California about to invade the USA and occupy San Diego. This sort of nonsense about Iranian missiles being stationed in Venezuela sounds very much in the same paranoid tradition. If you state something that's totally outrageous, there's bound to be someone out there who wants to believe it.

This was back in the days of South Africa’s Apartheid.
South Africa was a key export market for the Israeli defense industry. A bit of nuclear adventurism one that never went through in the end.
Yes, definitely good looking. We broke up because of the issue with my feelings on Apartheid during the time. Knew at the time I could take care of myself but felt she had the upper hand. She could move quicker.
