Looks like a major curtain fell off of Horseshoe, went there yesterday (12/4/10) and watched some major sections come down. Ice was crap, too warm.

Nasty .. went there last March and got the full Horsetail experience -- hollow sections, water running underneath, crap screws. If I ever do that one again it will be a nice cold day in January !!

Cragman, thanks for your good intentions!

Unfortunately I just saw the first post with the dates and the great pictures and didn't click the "Next" button in the form to see that the conditions were deteriorating!!!

Oh well, better than sitting at home in the rain.

Keep us posted!

that wet/heavy snow is what fuels Pap Smear and a number of other rare climbs. Now we need
cold ! I had noticed that "One Way" was looking great before I left town last week, One Way is
the 2-pitch runnel on the rocks just right of Carson Pks right hand coulior, and well left of Horsetail
Falls but at about the same elevation.
Looking at the recent pics of LVC above, it's in unusually good shape for this early in the
season. Off to a good start

Any word on the Roadside Ice? Is that still growing? Expanding along the cliff ?

Did a couple of lines on Main Wall on Dec 4th. Very fat, takes any size screws... hero ice in places. A few parties on Chouinard Wall too. Bard Harrington is very dry. No ice on Heel/Toe, and bottom slab ice for Caveman is missing.
