But so far the DoD isn't cooperating.

If they never wanted to, we would never know.

What could we do? Nothing.

Mum is the word from the DoD. What is the point? Why can't they say and be straight?

I would have to agree to the responders of this article at DU. The DoD wanted us to see this, as well as the rest of the world. But of course our Military isn't talking. Mums the word.

I live with in less than a mile of the Sub Base on Pt Loma San Diego and just across the bay from North Island Naval Air Station. I see Fighters jets, Helicopters etc. take off all the time. Carriers and other Naval ships come and go. The one thing you do not see is the subs under the same circumstances. One day they are here the next they could be gone. Try getting close to the sub base via water or land without proper authorization otherwise you will face a very stern warning or a greater consequence. It is often published in the papers what Navel Ships are leaving and what may be arriving but try and find any info on the subs. They leave under the cover of darkness and arrive under similar circumstances and no one truly knows where they actually are at any given time. Now tell me what you think happened off the coast of Catalina.
