The views opened as we climbed higher, secretly racing the parties on different routes to our left and right.

This style of TR I shall hence forth refer to as "Chiloe style".
Just a little bit at a time; just enough to keep 'em coming back for more.
Best to ya, Roy!

Ya, I think it's a mistake to dump all your photos in one post.
Plus, it takes time to think up the story. I never know where it will go.

Almost like he is trying to work and post a TR.... The small posts sure do make it easier to read while I work.
The rock looks great! How was the protection?

Great stuff!
Chatted with Roy a bit yesterday...it was good to catch up.

Funny, that you and Roy have similar TR styles...Roy even posted these related tips a couple years back:
You must persevere to row your little boat through the scwhag & choss and continue to plant your flag on the victorious beachhead of the front page...
And yes you have to be cagey and employ tactics:
break up your story, nice bite-size pieces, and installments or whatever…
but don't let things go too long, in sales this is called “letting a lead go cold”
leave room for questions; when people ask a question that bumps your thread!
answer questions quickly, in real time if possible, keeping that personal touch (trick = biscuit)
wait till your thread just hinges on the abyss of the second page, then post post post
always try to nab the top of the 20 post segment: it's your ship, steady at the helm!!!
Blatant tactics to avoid:
creating a pseudonym, or bogus avatar to bump your own show
e-mailing buddies to help bump things, er, um this is kind of a gray area
(I’ve done it, once maybe twice, heh, but a good sport does this very sparingly, usually begging particular content)

It's no coincidence. I learned by watching how he worked.

I too try and emulate the style, but often times find myself lumping too much together...

Now that it's been pointed out I do recall Tarbuster TR's having a certain 'something'. Perhaps 'TBS' should be the designation.
Whatever. The technique is effective (or should I say affective?). I guess it depends on how much it keeps me from my work.

First-generation triangular day pack by Sierra Designs.
Tarbuster's got mountain style.
I carried some soulless modern pack that zipped off my suitcase.

While Tarbuster and I were walking up the hill, Lisa and Sherrie had been running.
I'll get the distances wrong but in spirit Lisa's morning went something like this:
Park on the summit, run downhill to the 3.5 mile mark.
Run back up to the summit.
Run downhill to the 2.5 mile mark.
Run back up to the summit.
Run downhill to the 1.5 mile mark.
Run back up to the summit.
Walk across the ridge to meet climber guys, after running about 15 miles above 13,000 feet.

Just checking in for the latest installment.
That's some crazy running at altitude. For me it would go something like: Park on the summit, walk around the car twice, exclaim how thin the air is, get back in the car and drive down before I pass out.
