Be Be: How many Frenchmen does it take to defend Paris?

Don't know. It's never been done before!

Only in one of the most famous and bloodiest battles of the 20th century. DUH!

"I wonder how long it will be before they ask us to send in the marines? Maybe if the French didn't have such tight gun control, the problem wouldn't have gotten quite so big."

You are that used to murder on the streets and in the schools of 'Merica that you don't think you have a problem anymore.

There's been a war in America since Erik The Red discovered it for us.

"For Iraq and Afganistan this is their first chance to vote, voting is power."

We killed the last government and then told the people that if they didn't vote for one of the candidates we gave them we'd continue to occupy their country, raping, torturing and murdering their friends and families until they did.

GO IRAQIS! They're so brave embracing democracy like that.

"Yes, the difference is Christians are not currently spreading their belief system with the sword while Muslims still wish to."

That's a steamin' pile. Psssst-ya got some on ya...

The "Fer Christ" anti-abortion Army of God site quotes many biblical passages including: Luke 22:36: "...he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."

Look around:A report prepared by the California Senate showed that abortion clinics in that state were torched and bombed more than in any other state: 30 incidences out of 224 crimes nationwide. Most of the clinics responding reported threats, vandalism, assaults, blockades and other crimes from 1995 to 2000. 30% reported that their personnel was "stalked, harassed, threatened and otherwise targeted at their homes or in other places away from clinics and medical offices."

If that's not "violent enough" here's more cud to chew on Fatty....

The Nagaland Rebels (1948-present) Active in predominately Christian state in Hindu majority India. Involved in several bombings in 2004. Goal: Independence from India after annexing parts of neighboring Indian states and Burma if it has Christian majority.

Operation Rescue Anti-abortion group whose activities include bombing abortion clinics, killing doctors and nurses.... numerous prominent members have been successfully sued or criminally convicted for bombings, and the organization itself has been prosecuted under RICO Act, including founder Randall Terry. Member Eric Robert Rudolph was charged with Centennial Olympic Park bombing at the Olympics and a health clinic in Birmingham, Alabama...

Even more on individual cases here...

Also, you neglect the psychological aspects of the Talibaptists.

The news media, both lib and conserv, had numerous articles regarding candidates removed from the ballots and how many Revolutionary Guards were posted at each polling place.

And what, exactly, is to stop this from happening in Iraq and Afghanistan after the majority votes to put Clerics in a position of power?

Heh. Yeah. Well, since the US has never stayed somewhere under fire for anywhere near that long, that's not really likely to happen. So another couple countries down the shitter, eh?

Djian the Dwarf rolls 19, saves on 'Majic Spell'

Genesis 30:37-39 And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods. And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink. And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.

Djian strikes with A5 Warhammer..

But anyhoops FT, way to dilute with the "Sauds" again.

Hey Woody,
Why don't you tell the story about the time you brought your gun to school to teach your students "gun safety"

I love that one!

Why not Tan. Back about 1967, when teaching my first year--fifth grade, there had been an accidental injury due to some kid playing with a handgun. I told my class that I'd bring some handguns the next day, and we'd have a safety lesson. I brought in a revolver and a semi-auto along with shell casings. An aside here: kids get in trouble with guns primarily due to ignorance and curiosity. I put my own children through what I'm going to describe below, plus the firing range and the boring task of cleaning the guns on three or four occasions to get my point across.
To continue: I first demonstrated how the guns worked. I then had each student load and unload both guns with the shell casings. This, of course took quite awhile. Each student was able to both handle the firearm and manipulate it, seeing how it worked, seeing how to load and unload. I then lectured them on safety issues and discussed how kids get killed and injured out of ignorance and curiosity. I then stressed the point that they should leave any gun alone that they may run across at home or elsewhere; but, if in some extraordinary situation, they needed to know if a gun was loaded, or if they felt it necessary to unload a firearm, they had the basic knowledge to do so.
Not a word did I hear from any parent, nor did I expect to. Today a teacher would be fired for what I did. The anti-gun people have gone so far in demonizing what is nothing more than a tool( a hazardous one of course), that ignorance about firearms is very widespread. We live in a country with millions of firearms; and, even with resistance by the anti-gun people, will continue to be so. The youngster kept ignorant by his or her parents out of a misguded belief that it makes them safer is deluding themselves. Knowledge of firearms and saftey issues related to same do not mean one has to own one. Firearms safety courses are constantly taught all over this country for a modest fee. Many lives would be saved if those courses were taken by more people even if you don't desire to own a gun. Firearms are here to stay in the US even if you don't want it to be so.
Now, let the rant begin.
Addendum: Once I'd put my kids through the instruction described above, my guns were of no interest to them and could be safely left within easy access.

yeah Woody, nothing like your kid having friends over and proving that 'he' knew how to handle a gun. More than casings chambered when they are safely left within easy access, I s'pose.?

Ed. you know I think if you looked into it, alot of the times handguns end up in kids backpacks in schools is to 'prove' they knew how to handle or had easy access.
