Nice, Watusi. I really like the last one you posted: Organism. Checked out the website and saved a few of your pieces. Thanks! 171 pieces? I only saw 2 pages…

Yeah minerals if you saw my previous post, when you go to my gallery it takes you to my featured pieces (that aren't really the featured anymore...It's a little confusing...I have to organize them again!)you actually have to click: browse on the next page, and it'll take you to all the rest. Glad you like my stuff though:) That last piece I did the other night, and to me looks kind or organic...Here's a link straight to browse gallery...Cheers, MP. :http://mikepaul1.deviantart.com/gallery/#_browse

Checked into the 3D Mandelbulb geometry mentioned above and found this software that works as an Adobe utility, used with pixelbender which I've also included a link to. I'm starting to install these now myself to see how they work.

Very cool art submissions, watusi! Very interesting thread topic.

I HAVE to tell you guys about Andrew Jones (aka Phadroid) who I had the pleasure of seeing perform his art live this new years eve. He does a form of live fractal rendering that involves a dancer that interacts with the fluxing artwork. Very hard to describe, but absolutely beautiful and ive never seen anything like it before.

He stands at a computer, apparently rendering live pixel transformations, while a dancer behind some silkscreen propogates the movement of the fractals. Thats the best I can describe it.

Here are some images, but you HAVE to see the video to understand what I cant explain very well.

P.S. his "non-moving" computer artwork is unbelievable as well.

"It is worthy of remark that not only do fragments of such rock as limestone often present the characteristic forms of the cliffs from which they have been broken, but that morsels of mica slate will represent, in a wonderful manner, the identical shape of the peaks of which they have formed part."
- Ed. Whymper

"That which has been described as a wall is such only in its grand effect. In detail it is a series of structures separated by a ramification of canyons. . . . each wall of the canyon is a composite structure, a wall composed of many walls, but never a repetition"
- J. Wesley Powell

Another one I just made...Started with Fractal Generator, Fraxplorer, then added some components with Frax 4D, then blew the whole thing apart with Hyper-Tiling function...Must of been having a moment...

Cheers to all! I produce a lot of what would be perceived as "normal" photographic or artistic pieces, but was quite inspired by this thread and the literally infinitesimal possibilities provided by fractal art! I'd like to thank all of you for the kind reactions to my work, and want to add that even though I was known for my climbing related past there is a part of me, and as I've seen here many in the Supertopo community, that have an artistic side as well... Yeah enjoimx, the piece on fractal life forms was particularly evocative, (the music was nice also...)
