I saw some cameras...

What a beautiful weekend it was, perfect temps, the usual group of Flag snowbirds, special guests Guy and Mark, Nature's gal Tina and my Lisa Mae, plus the best dog pack ever. Fun in the sun climbing, smoke signals, good times.
Thanks nature!
We're so lucky to live near such an amazing place.

Cochise SushiFest 2-2010...... was a huge success. Mark Frumpkin and I did the big drive from LA to Cochise. I had never climbed at this fine place before and the offer of warm weather, free camping and fabulous "Sushi by Nature" sealed the deal.

We arrived at the west stronghold and we were hit hard by rain and snow. After 3 days of camping it cleared up some and we climbed at the Isle of you.
Then it was time to move to the east stronghold and go find the ShushiFest.

Nature had it all set up and we started in.

after eating about 2 lbs of Tuna, Yellow Tail, Halibut and more each it was time to make some rice and start in on real Shushi and some hand rolls. Nature making rice.... it take about 2 years to learn how to do this part correctly.

Then we really started to pig out.

Nature, the master chef in charge. He kept the food flying and he sure made a lot of different kinds for US. I really loved the "sea urchin", something that I hated before this nite but Nature sue can score the "Kind".

We all passed out from overindulgence, me anyway. The next am I was informed of yet another ShushiFest tradition. The French Toast!!!

Then it was time to go do some climbing. We had some fine sunshine and the whole crew went to Zappa dome.

Besides knowing about Sushi.... Nature can also climb.

We all had so much fun climbing but the sun was starting to go down so it was back to camp for MORE Sushi.... we did it all over again!!!! I was in HOG HEAVEN.

So I wish to say, Thanks Nature- the fest was much better than I could have imagined. All the climbers who were there were super fun and it was great to meet up with some new folks.

Hope to see you-all at the next event.
