Someone actually caught Nixon on camera and didn't copyright it

After Nixon gave him his badge, Elvis asked, what's for dinner, salad?

It's a guess. I was gonna guess Sangre de Cristo!

You say it's the Sierra Nevada, then?

Sounds good. I changed it.

They're not labeled too well and they are mixed up in the slide container.

I spose nobody's going to run up to the top of Mt. Everest soon.

I seem to recall some heavy duty mountain trail running that wasn't Dean Potter. Was in Utah, I believe. I just cannot recall.

I sure hope Gary Lynch (UCI) has some success soon.

It appears that I may have fallen benind.

We present a measurement of the asymmetry A_{CP} between same-sign inclusive dilepton samples ℓ^{+}ℓ^{+} and ℓ^{-}ℓ^{-} (ℓ=e, μ) from semileptonic B decays in ϒ(4S)→BB[over ¯] events, using the complete data set recorded by the BABAR experiment near the ϒ(4S) resonance, corresponding to 471×10^{6} BB[over ¯] pairs. The asymmetry A_{CP} allows comparison between the mixing probabilities P(B[over ¯]^{0}→B^{0}) and P(B^{0}→B[over ¯]^{0}), and therefore probes CP and T violation. The result, A_{CP}=[-3.9±3.5(stat)±1.9(syst)]×10^{-3}, is consistent with the standard model expectation.

I think this is the first link in ff's turmeric post.

Michele's recovery from knee surgery was remarkably fast according to both the surgeon and the physical therapist.

Wheel-chaired out after surgery, was walking on it without crutches or cane by day three.

I do not know where to begin
I really need to cull a partner out of thin air
I don't climb in gyms so the outside is in
As I think it was Ron A who noted
There is no chalk on the rocks that I post
That is on purpose but also by default
Maybe it is fear of ticx! - I hate 'em and bathe in deet
Auto correct wants to be funny
Debt, bathe in debt ! That is not funny. . . . .

So back to this need for a belay out doors in the wilds of the Metro area.
In the past I have picked up strangers by random chance based on the condition of shoes or climbing inspired cloths, on occasion when buying beer but in the last year six of those have crapped out.
So the thing that I have avoided but is at my doorstep, I have to drive by an EMS
store on my way to the best rock.
So into the store, on a Saturday, I stroll - I strike up a conversation with a twenty some thing - half head shaved the other half in a top knot, He is wearing battered but newish Cruxes
( scarpa shoes)
Huh ? He is busy not helping two hot young women buy a tent.
The girls seem into each other, deeply, and there is nothing wrong with that.
The show is good, and getting better; the girl in a sun dress is getting into the tent,
Her friend and her scoop top headed in next, I always liked selling tents.

Men are pigs, the young can be the worst, this coming from a Dom (dirty old man)

The French have a word,voyeur
So kid is just watching frosty breasts and un shaven everything, which is not doing it for him,
When I walk up and say nice kicks you sure have used 'em do you climb?
This leads to two attempts to go out 1st to Boulder before work ,
to be fair I was late as there was a beer delivery truck
that I had to follow on it's route to get to the store.
When I arrived ten minutes late he was gone

The next day a plan to go climbing, but he claiming injury, says he will just belay - with an offer for free trecking poles, but when I show he is nowhere to be found , blown off! set up?
I have resisted posting the best rock in know about until just recently x but this is some here is were I was yesterday for Cinco De mayo, this is five miles three minutes by car from the stupid store. I do not want to throw the switch and point out all this rock so I wander around it toprope solo ing and scaring myself witless often,

The thing is I seem to scare off and 'break' (in a "this is not what I bargained for") the few climbers that I befriend.

There was a sixty year old Japanese yogi but he just saw that sweaty women in Yoga found me safe to inter-act with. A Japanese horn dog and after meeting me a hang dog.
His name was Hataroue, but said to me call me Haru, my wife seemed to note a difference,
So did not?

Awe it has gotten light out I must stop be back if I can

MFM,
If those are your own words above, with the pix, about flames, then you are one superb wordsmith. Thank you.

zB, so happy to hear Michele came through knee surgery so very well. I was in AZ with a guy who had a TKR and is now back up to running 2-3 miles a day.
Turmeric is a super food. I wonder if the government will soon outlaw this vegetable as well.

I guess it depends on their level of greed.

Thank you Mouse and zB.

Back to tent drying and such things.

Thanks for the words about my words, feralfae.

They were the result of watching an especially graphic and bloody DVD episode of The Vikings with John Decker on Sunday evening. The producers really made it seem authentic with the loud screaming and wailing of dying monks amid the clamor of a raid.

I took pictures as we sat and smoked a doob.

My mind wandered off to think of how we moderns have gotten used to books and movies which cater to the dark side of our humanity. They mean little and they gloat over body counts. I was addicted to them. I was shocked and dismayed when I came to this realization.

I'm talking to YOU, Joe Bob Briggs, drive-in movie critic, and people like you. Your schtick seems so cool and hip but really serves little purpose other than making the reader feel that way, too. I don't find you all that funny any more.

Drive-in movies are themselves another "innocent" victim of progress, like Bernie's liquor store on G St.--it was razed to make the street wider so the new railroad underpass could be built, benefiting our whole local community in a major way.

Liquor stores abound, after all.

Progressives are about changing the rules of the game with the object of making it fairer for all, not about punishing someone for disagreeing with one's own views.

On why Bernie Sanders should run for president.

"The Trouble Isn't Liberals. It's Progressives."
Not everyone on the left wants to quash dissent or indulge President Obama's abuses of executive power.
http://inthesetimes.com/article/17474/bernie_sanders_for_president

I'm wonderin', if elected, what will Bernie Sanders' legacy be? Will he be on a level with the big noise from Madison, Robert M LaFollette?

Robert M. La Follette Sr. - Governor of Wisconsin and US Senator
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_M._La_Follette_Sr.
Or will he be a much smaller blip, like Jesse "The Body" Ventura?

Or like the song, "Moving Like Bernie."

I am a bit out of synch today--not nearly as much sleep as I'd like, probably.

Those scary films! They probably caused surges in your vagus nerve!

Your words were truly strong. Really, I just read the captions, and was caught by your sense of fire and strife. Whew! Great use of words.

Yes, we have become inured to violence. I think we live in a world filled with terribly traumatized people, many of whom have never known peace and sanctuary. To extricate one's psyche from it, I think it is necessary to kill the television. I have not had television in so long I do not recall. Nor do I any longer take the WSJ or the Economist. Around me, I try to create an oasis of peace. A sanctuary for my spirit. Mostly classical music in the studio. I have come to enjoy birdsongs and the sound of wind in the pines. The silence heals something in me, so I let it flow through me, healing. It's nice :) Become more of a hobbit, perhaps

I am pretty apolitical, so I don't even know what most of those labels mean. I rescued my psyche from political games, which to me were not unlike the NFL and NBA, but with fewer teams, quite a while ago. Now, I find I get more good things done by doing things that are personal and individual. And I sleep better and avoid ulcers. But that is just me. I like being able to still my spirit and meditate. :)

And typing of stilling the spirit, it is that time of evening for meditation. Thank you for all the excellent posts. I wish I had time to listen to more of the music.

Be well and keep on having entirely too much fun. :)

Editing this one in. From yesterday, it shows the zBrownish one to better advantage.
And I had just as well post these two, too. One of the parental units.
Combined with my pithy comments on Big Mike's thread "If you hang the draws, it's a pink point," that is two Tom Hanks references in under an hour.

Some mountain scenery I confabulated this morning.

It resembles a cleft where a road might run through it.I'm always moving these silent witnesses to my comings and goings and doings from one place to another.

None of them are gathering any moss that I can see.

Forever getting no younger, I'm sayin' good night.

Next morning edit: This is a good photo taken just now at about 8:30 a.m. in the sun which has come out and taken over from a world hoping for rain.

hey there say, mouse... wow!!! the fledglings... wow!!!

have not had time to read back, to other post...

was getting some good sleep, ... all caught up now... whewwww...

but no computer, today, as, it was friends visiting and getting THAT and some many other caught-up phone calls, and even a caught-up 'to there house' of the old neighborhood...

wow, it is nice to get the sleep things caught up, from being busy... and then:
turning it all a friends thing, caught up...

as feralfae might say:
feeling peaceful and refreshed, and productive, and happy...

nice pospt, ilo, thank you so much for sharing with us...
wow...

:)

will have to backtrack and read the flames, from there, tomorrow, as:
got my stampfairy to talk to write now...
so can't read until later, but:

wow, do i love the pidgeon saga and the babes...
i have birdie babies in my housewall, nest, that was build by a wren, last year... however, THAT is no WREN in it now...

is a much larger bird and the nest is spilling out--well, nearly, :))

night all... :)
