Howie, I'm tempted to start a new one but what's holding me back is the sense that a lot of folks don't want to see more OT clutter. So, I think I'll pass for now.

No, go start a new forum, not a new thread. For Christs' Sake.

I had all these freakin discussions in high school, talk to someone that has dedicated their life to this shite. Not just a bunch of posers sprayin beta. Half of you people that declare themselves saved are full of shite. What? You had a kid and now you feel that you need jesus. Well the bigoted bs you spew is hardly Christ like. So blow. If you found yourself in a position you like stay there. Enjoy the Jesus you think is best. But please get back to the business of posting shite on climbing because this crap is a bore. Noone is getting converted here.

Come on you guys.

There was some good stuff on that other thread. I had everyone convinced Moses, Jesus, and John the Baptist were climber's. Man I was on a roll (lol).

Please don't take anything personal here. Who was preaching? It is ok to talk and discuss. I always wear 2 layers of asbestos flame retardant long underwear before coming to the SuperTaco.

Hey, I'm not into hurting anyone's feelings. Can't we discuss contraversial topics w/o getting all flustered and sore at one another? Without name calling. I mean some of it has to be taken tongue in cheek. Debate like in a college debate class. What is the problem with that?

If you don't like the topic of the thread, steer clear of it. I do that plenty. There are many threads on many topics at the Taco. Some I never jump into.

Personally I like that about the ST. Diversity. You can get involved in it or not. Just be kind to one another.

Yeah ...

Lookit some of these guys.

They see a God thread or Jesus Christ thread and they totally lose it. Cry to their mommy's.

Then they go back and worship cold stone.

No wonder we're all dead walking corpses ..........

Klimmer,
You have a good point. I'll go back to my policy of only checking out posts that interest me.

The worst thing about Religion is WHY would such a mighty being as your GOD spent so much of its(indy of gender here)time & effort on a small insignificant, backwater planet, in a backwater of the Cosmos? Nope, that's like going to Circle K instead of the Valley.

Been gone most of the day, just got back from the Coldplay concert here in So. San Diego. Really great. Anyway . . .

Agreed, I can't say Moses, John the Baptist, or Jesus were climbers, but hey, they all spent considerable time in the wilderness. Of course they didn't sport climb, they were trad and purists! But hey, can't we agree that they probably at least 3rd classed it at times, and may have 4th classed it sans rope once or twice? Hasn't most everyone done some of this even as kids? Kids already know how to climb, we have to relearn as adults. Mankind, we are climbers.

Aren't we all climbers now? I mean climbing is so mainstream. Everywhere I go, everyone is climbing on plastic. What happened to the golden days when climbing was a backwater rebelious anti-social activity?

And Bible Code, I know it sounds like an absolute miracle or made up fantasy (depending on your world-view/perspective to begin with), but reality is stranger than fiction. If you don't check it out you will never know. Perhaps that is why some people don't check it out. They really don't want to know. It might mean having their reality altered, and then making a change.

Ah Dr. F,

You do know or have heard this right?

He rose on the third day just as prophecy related before hand that he would, and concurred death. He paid the ultimate price to cover our sins once and for all. Your sins are forgiven if you believe, accept, and live in his grace. He has now given us the hope of death concurred, and we know we live will again.

Death where is thy sting? (paraphrase)
