Cosmic, that pic is priceless.

ah, Reynolds Hill. you know, it is one of the few places that doesn't look too different today from that 74 shot.

I recognize your partner (who gave us our very first Vedauwoo guide book as a going away present -- remember that?), but never met the dog. Was he/she a character from your SD days (close to where this next traffic jam shot was taken)?

Chiloe, forgot to answer your question: nope. Read a Wyoming set murder mystery you recommended a few years back (ended with a struggle on the diamond), but these are different, no?

Question for you: why not start a 74ish era Voo thread? Would warm my heart on this snowy day. Bet you've got old school shots of this one.

They're different, not so over-the-top. The author, Craig Johnson, writes like Tony Hillerman wishes he could.

This evening...

Now, the odd thing is that I'm planning to leave this place. Doesn't make much sense.

Yes indeed, that's "Fred" from our SD days, seen here fairly near where your traffic jam was.

I have fond memories of Fred, who never was quite civilized.
One time we were grateful that he scared four sketchy drunks so much they climbed up on top of their car.
