Regulars here, Fatty included, knew that his prior banning was his warning.
That once he was back on, there wouldn't be a third chance.
In addition, and carrying far less weight for sure is that many people here warned him that he was going to get the axe when they say his behavior hadn't changed. In fact, many of us stated that if we had the axing power, he'd have gotten it already (self included).

I'll repost my EDIT since there have been some posts after mine.
I didn't follow the threads where Jeff was having a go at Norton, so i cannot comment on those. I think that Jeff is somewhat of a "sh*t stirrer", but other than that, he's been okay. Perhaps it is because he has offered to help me in the past (i.e. picking me up at the airport for my mom's funeral) or that we had a beer and a chat in WC/Creektown (what creek, it's gone, so are the walnut trees).
However, if Jeff was unnecessarily harassing Norton, or anyone, then there you have your answer. I like jeff, and all of you, even though I don't know or have met more than a handful personally.
But it is CMac's forum, so to speak, and if he thinks somebody has crossed the line, well...
