I suspect that ruling has a ways to go. The SCOTUS itself will probably make the ultimate decision.

Edit:

I feel like an interloper with the 1,000th post.

Yes, Obama is clearly, personaly, responsible for any technical problems with Electric cars.

Electric Cars
You can get all the power you need to go to Yosemite and back from just the solar cells placed on your roof

thats the untold story

we could be off the grid and Big OIL

LMAO!!!!!

Let's say we could get a car so small and light that it cruised on 15 hp.

That's +/- 11,250 watts or 937 Sq ft of solar panel.

So if you make the panel 8' legal load width it's 117 feet long.

Won't even make it around the turns.

And, won't run at all in the shade of the trees.

So for every hour your 1000 sq ft roof full of panels, That cost $48,000 ($4 per watt X 12 per sq ft.)provides 15 horsepower per hour of mid day sun to your batteries.

A Leaf has a range of 75 miles, on a really good day.

Better move to El Portal and have something to do while your car charges for a couple of days.

And, if you are a commuter, what good do the panels at home do if the car is in the parking lot at work?

TGT is right. We're Americans, we could never figure out how to make solar more efficient. Never!

Republicans are nothing but nattering nabobs of negativity. Just get out of the way and let us get to work making this country a better place to live. That's all we ask, we'll even let y'all in on the goods.

Libs always think that all it takes are three things to change the laws of physics or human nature. (Like king Canute)

1. Sufficiently good intentions.

2. A law.

3. Enough bureaucrats to enforce it.

If solar cells were 100% efficient you could only get about one horsepower per square yard, at noon, mid summer.

Why don't you propose a law to mandate an increase the output of the sun?

Gary - If you have to ask...(as the old saying goes)..you can't afford it.

Conservatives just go out and do stuff. Permission is for 2nd place losers.
Why did you think you need my permission to make a more efficient
solar panel?

and a correction: Liberals are the only nattering nabobs of negativity.
NPR listeners are a good example. Brainwashed nuts. Up is down with them
on most subjects.

Yes its true. Why brainwashed NPR'ers do not see the world as it really is. And NPR even admits here that they suspect Liberals reap a kind of enjoyment as they knowingly delude themselves.

A delusional audience. Well.

Is Liberal Bias What NPR Listeners Secretly Want?

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4717847

NPR commits the sin of omission daily:
...that NPR's biases are not to be found in what it
broadcasts (although its programs are not without
their slants, implications and suggestions and listeners are
always quick to point them out), but in what it doesn't broadcast...

While NPR has a bias that I find obvious, I also find it easy to filter. At least they sometimes air worthwhile material.

I just got my first exposure to Fox News's normal programming. I do not watch Fox except on election nights. When I got home late tonight, my wife had Fox on, with Hannity and Ann Coulter discussing the situation in Egypt. No wonder there are so many Democrats! Their nonsense was so inane, it was almost [emphasis on almost] enough to turn me into a Democrat.

John, for the life of me, I can't understand why they have such folks. I think there are very reasonable arguments for the conservative position on most things, and making and sticking to those arguments would go far in capturing the independent vote that is needed for any election. I can't watch them. I also can't watch the equivalent liberal programming.

I listen to NPR daily. I like the PBS News Hour, I think the most objective.

Ken,

I don't watch Fox News regular programming because I think it's mainly entertainment. Last night did nothing to change that perception, and I don't have time for that kind of entertainment.

I will say in their defense that this was at least presented as opinion. I, too, listen and contribute to our local PBS station, but not because I find it objective. I listen because they articulate an orthodox liberal view, even though they seem to think they don't. Also, that station plays a bit of classical music. I read The Nation to get the view from farther left. These are worthwhile ways for me to spend my time because they view things from a different perspective from mine.

The Dow is flirting with 12000. Our Pinko Prez had better get going if he means to dismantle capitalism in the next 2 years.

Yes, and I'm doing nicely, but what happens when the stimulus stops??????????

I thought the stimulus was a bust that had no effect on the economy?
