Has Palin ever announced that she had established an 'exploratory committee' for a POTUS run? Isn't that one of the technical steps required in order to run? (Or is that simply a logistical/financial step?)
I don't remember her ever announcing one...but I do remember the other GOP candidates of late making such an announcement. The time is getting short- this will be a record-breaking expensive campaign, and the fundraising needs to be underway right now. If Palin hasn't even floated a few titillating quotes in the media at this point, it seems almost impossible that she's considering it.
Of course, I'm giving her waaaaaaay too much credit for being potentially thoughtful in her strategy.

Kinda surprising that Obama (until recently anyway) seemed like he might be vulnerable in the election but dang, sure doesn't seem like any of the Republican names we're seeing have the remotest chance of beating him.
I mean, Obama is practically a poster child for family Values compared to Gingrich, all the tea party candidates have records of saying nutty stuff (plus people will never give up their social security or medicare nor vote for candidates who will take those things off the table)
The GOP needs a non-nutcase, Movie Star to run. Mel Gibson? (nope, nut case) Charleton Heston? (nope, dead) Harrison Ford (gave $1000 to McCain but is mostly Dem)
Rush! (drug liability)
I dunno. Better get used to Obama. He'd have to screw up dramatically not to get elected. Heck. we re-elected Bush, how could Obama Lose?

The rest of the field will fall apart and the Repubs will look longingly to Romney and come up with some inane logic-breaking excuse as to why Romney's health care plan is palatable and Obama's isn't to justify their continued hatred of it. I look forward to the hypocrisy.
