The Susquehanna Hat company string band....?
oh I'm gonna go look up the
Susquehanna via-duct....
[Click to View YouTube Video]..Talk about cool bridges......[Click to View YouTube Video] .At a few minutes in there is a mention, (very brief) of the 'Grade' into Deposite....
Actually " Bings on Krack" is also every bit worth the listen from the Clifftop,
Now please humor me why does this read so harshly?
I come off as such a prck and don't mean it so..
http://www.supertopo.com/climbers-forum/2761878/SMALL-BUSINESS-START-UP
P... listen up
It is not just the insurance,
- it is gas and travel and cash flow- wear & tear, breakage, down time
and plain old obsolescence
....I'm gonna address another poster, then add a song .
Please don't mis understand the song, it is not meant to be directed at anyone,
It certainly does not point at you, and it is not meant in any way... k,
it is just a song I have 'racked up' ( I like it though )
Be careful I thought you were a bit younger,
and this carney rigg looks like a bit of an under cooked idea.....
It is freezing phukin' cold here. I'm so jello of y'all on the west coast
but id be a cook on a Cruise Ship with a drunken Captain ( aren't they all?)
before I'd spend a dime to have to run my own carnival ride.....
Hey , Happie,
When mobile walls 1st appeared,
dred head Paul, who is now the care taker at the AMC camp ground,
got in on one, he was gonna make a fortune, or at last pay the bills ...
Curran ? Is that his last name? .
He, too was a Guide & a friend of mine .
He had told he me that like Tom Andrews and Al Diamond,
he was gonna guide for the long haul.... Good old, Paul he was fun to go to Dead shows with.
Happie, do you know how Jim Munson is doing ?.
there is a cautionary tale.....
Anyway help pyro out get him in touch
With The Gunks ex-guide Dred head - Red head - Paul Curran,
he was also ex military so he had that pension to fall back on,
when the novelty of the fad wore off and he what?
Banged nails ?
Did he also Ranger for the Preseve?
Is Frank tach the head ranger now?
Is Frank's cabin fixed up with running water ?...Now I am being a jerk, sorry,
his position is what now, after 20-+ years,
nice folks the layers who run the Preseve ,
they really take care of take care of their own huh?
I heard that Hank Alicondria left
So who is at the helm?
.....Clove Road resident and NYC lawyer Andenberg?
Is that the name I don't remember?
I should ask Mike Fink And His Fine Wife (Karen?)Pardini,
they won the suit against the Preseve didn't they,
have I said to much do you or anyone know what I'm talking about?
Google Fink/ Pardini vs. Mohonk Preseve et. Al....
yikes
or try to talk to the guy at the end of
Cragswood road, but don't bring up R Romano...
Edit:
this was in New York and truth be told Paul and his good looks,
climbers build, rock hard abs & carney skills along with his excellent
belay technique (flying on a rope)
landed him a spot in the Broadway production of Tarzan,
I swear it looked like he played the lead ?
Did he?
If not they took his look , that must have made him crazee
He Evan had his SAG card in away ; Sad Azz Gunkie...
So Pyro, maybe Big Jeff C, medusa,?
can get you in on the ground floor, of a production,
doing rigging or what ever the job description would be?
Okay the song again This song is not directed at any one [Click to View YouTube Video]
I know to much with out knowing anything and need show I kno I know that Narcissist thread....

Hernia, Part Two.
It's a medical drama, so far over a year and a half old.
I had planned to have hernia surgery after several mis-cues, only to be told at the last minute that the surgery would have to wait on a problem with a leaky heart valve. Surgeons know this could lead to bad stuff, so I had to go along with them. Long story short: I had open-heart surgery, it's now long past the surgery's date, and I feel like I need to address the hernia again, since it's gotten worse, much worse in my opinion.
But I need a doctor's referral to see the surgeons in Fresno. I had an appointment set with my care provider, Dr. Love, yesterday, to ask him formally for that referral, but he called in sick and I was told of that by phone (before I set out for the VA on the bus) and had to set up another date for next week. I'm not looking forward to this spring, if this is a sign of things to come.
I am reminded of a quote from Midsummer Night's Dream: "The course of true love never did run true."

discovery comes because of connections, as you know
reading through the Kimball Piano Co. catalog, on neebee's thread, there was mention of a composer named Charles Marshall, same name as the discoverer of gold in '49 who was Chuck Pratt's namesake (RIP everybody)
he composed the music for I Hear You Calling Me, words by Harold Harford, an "old standard" that reminded me of Nelson Eddy's Indian Love Call
searching Youtube for a rendition of that Marshall/Harford song, I found it, then found this one, which I like mo' better
I also liked this song by Miss Maura O'Connell

In 1999, David Pecker bought American Media Inc., which owned the Weekly World News. Within the next two years, many of WWN's longtime writers and editors, including Sal Ivone, Derek Clontz, Susan Jimison, Joe Berger, Bob Lind, Dick Kulpa, and Leskie Pinson, were gone. Clontz left the paper in 2001, having been there 20 years, and died in 2004.
In a filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in March 2007, American Media said that sales of WWN in 2006 were only 83,000 per issue. WWN ceased its print publication in August 2007. It was then published as an insert within The Sun magazine, with new material being printed alongside articles and columns from older issues, until Sun itself ceased publication in 2012.
In October 2008, Bat Boy L.L.C., a company started by Neil McGinness, bought WWN. It was relaunched as an online publication only in 2009. In January 2011, the Weekly World News was made available via an online paid subscription. The online edition is emailed to subscribers biweekly.
The online edition closely resembles the printed Weekly World News in both appearance (it uses the Weekly World News logo used from 1979 to 2001) and subject matter (the first issue's headline was "Werewolf Sues Airline Over Flight Delay"). In January 2013, Weekly World News announced that it would go behind a paywall. An initial limit was set at three free article views, though select content remained unmetered.

What can I say?
"Face up to it, dude".
"Man it was a big day, 18 feet on the face"
"About face"
"Face off near the net" (old Leper saying)
Ooh La La
Man, I wish I didn't know what I know now.

Paintings on display for sale on Main St. from the Arbor Gallery member Rose Tripp.
Yep. The management closed the bar after the restaurant failed to rally when Phil the chef got canned by Steve the money man for balling the waitresses.
