susan and Russ.... thank you for all that you did to help out Billy.....
I really can't dig up the correct words right now to fully explain what I feel.

You made a good end for Billy.

10b4me, Thanks for the pic of the band. Can't see Al in the back. He played a wicked drum/percussion that night. What a lot of great energy provided by the Cactus Pricks and dancers! Cheers,

A drive by post while at work...

I'm surprised I didn't see more of you guys out there - Leggs gave me the peace sign as she drove by with Drljefe near Jumbo Rocks, but I didn't recognize anyone else.

I was playing the uke - you guys should have stopped and verified that I wasn't parttimecommunist in person.

How on earth did you know that was me giving you the peace sign?! I ask because I had NO idea it was you, I was just giving out peace signs to fellow climbers!
Jefe told me it was you, but we had climbin' plans to get to.
Were you at the party? My memory is a little fuzzy from all the damned O'Douls I drank.

Todd, Andrea, Russ and Susan, et al, ... what a wonderful celebration of Life. Smiles in the heart.

Wow, a very rich man indeed, that Blitzo! Sorry to have missed the big to do, but I was previously committed to stomping around desert and rocks last weekend—doing stuff that was in the spirit of and dedicated to Blitzo: climbing, pictures, socializing, and beer!

That slide show celebration was superb. Thanks for putting it together, Russ. A very well spent and touching chunk of my morning yesterday.

If there are any of his ashes left, I'd be more than tickled and pleased to take them with me to Hong Kong and Bali next summer... a way to mark Blitzo's "trip" to Hong Kong and Nepal perhaps... that was one of my all time favorites. Bali would probably be my choice... not sure he ever went there, but it's definitely a place in which he would have reveled! Lemme know!

Cheers and good travels Blitzo!

It was a very nice weekend and a wonderful celebration of Blitzo's life. So many people I had hoped to meet but somehow didn't. Thanks to Russ, Susan, Todd any everyone else who planned and coordinated this event.

I was so impressed with Todd's compassion, passion and his generosity to share his home and his family for the gathering. Although I didn't manage to meet him either, I have mad respect. Thanks again.

It was awesome to meet jefe, phil bircheff, more of Sonja, Karen, more of the Roots, dirt claude who has been given the Chef Cape for ST events and cheers to him for his handmade tacos.

Also, Jude the artist and Ana, Ari and Dr. Bill when they arrived. Todd Battey shredded on the dance floor (watch out for his wing span, he could take yo out. :) ) Also Seth, and Leggs and Chelsey.

Fish got my name back...that was huge. Susan, a beautiful spirit as always inside and out.

SO cool to see Andrea Gordon also rockin' on the dance floor and enjoying the event. More than great to see Randy V. and his beautiful family. Friends from the past, Dee ee, Dr. F. and Cheers to Mari and Mike.

Rlf and Tucker yo Dudes the ones I will always love for giving me support during hard times. Beth and Steve my "kindred spirits." (See Anne of Green Gables, a book.)

ALWAYS enjoy the tail gate with Gomez and Jim B. Their mellow vibe and stories make every bouncing off the wall time spent with them great. :) Still getting schooled......

Locker, seems like we are on the same page. Dude, call me about your own health status. Dang, I have learned so much from yo all, grown cause of yo and am finding my place on the planet.

Mr. Gordon thanks for the shindig and every kind word and hug you give to the family. Smiles of your magnitude make a difference.

And as for all you no shows from the list.....you missed. For those I missed naming here, you are in my heart and prayers. Love to the Family and Blitzo, Billy, our Friend.

I must say:

This was one of the most peaceful, blessed and loving gathering of the tribe I have ever been to in my 23 years of various events.

Thank you all - everyone there - for your generosity of spirit and joyous celebration for a truly great spirit passing on.

I t was a gift to be there with you all. I have never felt such camaraderie in my many gatherings.

The love and care taken by the high desert climbing community and others towards Bill was exemplary, and so many people put so much into this whole process in the last year.

It leaves one baffled why we even argue with each other.

Thanks for that poignant reminder.
