The American west was bought and paid for with the federal government's blood and treasure (i.e., the nation's taxpayers) for the benefit of the people. What would Nevada and its sister states be without the U.S. calvary and bureau of reclamation?
So some people can go all sagebrush rebellion but it's only because of the feds that their little shithole corner of the desert was ever inhabitable by white people in the first place.

The fact that they haven't sneaked in the middle of the night and snatched him in over a year after things calmed down speaks volumes.... It quietly all went away due to some serious nefarious sh#t that would have been uncovered.
What else would make sense?

10b,, I SERIOUSLY doubt your feet have ever touched Bunkerville land. Ron, I was speaking metaphorically, but that land is public land.

My land with private cows means the same as private trout in my stream! What if I set up a nice trout population in the local National Forest stream or lake and said I would shoot anyone who dared to cast a line out there into their own waters. Who are these people? The mob?

TM, if you tried, youd be shot. And transported to the nearest mine shaft, then youd be tossed down said shaft with a generous helping of lime following you down.. The answers to investigators would be,, nope never seen him roundcheer..Its BUNKERVILLLE dude. They know whos not from round there just by smell alone. ;-)
Good thing I won't try. Domestic terrorism? Thanks for the tip.

Ron, I really don't care that much and would hang with ranchers over the feds any day, but the argument is against taking public good for private gain without compensation to the taxpayer. Talk to a soldier or sailor about contributions toward our freedom and its price. I am not a veteran.

This is getting hysterical.
Laws are this way when it suits them and opposite when it fits there whims. All this fence straddling is so appropriate for a thread where a cattle rancher ignores fences and want everyone else to pay his way. Bundy would be tarred and feathered if he was a liberal in Nevada letting the rest of us pick up his tab.

it's a $1M debt that Bundy has incurred, Mr. Anderson. The $3M expenses for the BLM fiasco would have been avoided if Bundy wasn't a cheap scofflaw (not to insult cheap scofflaws or anything).

Fair enough, Ron. Wasted Taxpayer $ with no payment to the treasury; nothing new there. But, that doesn't make it right. It's still welfare farming or poaching public range lands. If the place has no national value, perhaps we should sell it to pay our national debt?

And how would reconcile that against the actions of the BLM officers on the ground out there?
Why do you think they pulled back and basically did nothing other than show up? I feel sorry for them, really. All that training for nothing....

What are his unpaid fees + penalties since 1996?
More quotes from that article:
March 18, 1996: The federal government, which owns 87 percent of the land in Nevada, is still worried about potential violence if they try to remove illegally grazing cattle from protected land. Two more pipebombs had exploded in Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management offices in the past two years.
April 10, 2014: A protest camp has formed. There is a sign at the entrance that reads, "MILITA SIGHN IN."
Traveling from as close as St. George — and as far as Montana — a mix of characters waved picket signs at an encampment just before a bridge over the Virgin River, protesting the BLM’s campaign.
“This is a better education than being in school! I’m glad I brought you. I’m a good mom,” said Ilona Ence, a 49-year-old mother from St. George and Bundy relative who brought her four teenage kids to the ranch. “They’re learning about the Constitution.”
April 5, 2014: Clive Bundy also thinks the co-habitating cows and tortoises could have a beautiful, symbiotic relationship if the government would let them. “The tortoises eat the cow manure, too. It’s filled with protein.”
What is a good 1000 yard setup for the next open season on large ungulates in this section of the open range?

True. Not a million, according to Bundy, who acknowledges bout $300,000 himself.
Note in the article that the government's not quit this fight, they're just changing tactics in an effort to avoid bloodshed.
Personally, from what I've read and seen about Bundy, I don't hold the man in high regard, and I think there are a lot of better causes that could have been taken up over the years by the militia groups where they would have stood a much better chance of having a positive impact in the arena of individual rights. This looks to me like they're throwing their support after a long-term losing cause in this case.
Seriously, representing yourself in federal court is a fools errand. Things like militia groups exhibiting infighting and susceptibility to bullshit like "we think the drones are coming so we're outa here", along with basic misuse of the English language (militiamen SIGHN in here? seriously?) are signs that you may not be part of the most intelligent thinkers around.
These guys strike me as the type who like to fall back on old-English grammar when addressing the court or attempting explain their understanding of things like constitutional law. They make a big show of their belief in local and states rights, individual freedom and often "sovereign" authority granted to them by constitutional powers. It's weird. And it's gibberish. Ultimately, they often utterly fail in both the legal arena and the public eye.
Be cautious in whom you choose to support; because if ultimately the war is lost, you will have done more DAMAGE to our individual liberties than you will have succeeded in defending them. ALA open carry advocates in California. Yeah, that turned out great for their cause. F*#king idiots.

“The tortoises eat the cow manure, too. It’s filled with protein.”
Made my day right there.
I am confused how this pertains to grand scheme of individual rights, at all. I mean, maybe if we're talking about Bundy's individual rights to not pay the money he owes (apparently you fellas know the score, ~$300k), or about his individual rights to make money off of animals that trample and sh#t in the precious water holes...maybe.
