Hey Tom!

I took almost a whole month off after DRL Daze- had some tendon issues to heal.
It's new route season for me but there are heaps of boulders in this backcountry area and, amazingly, kids willing to hike pads in!
So some relief from bolting and projecting, and some of Tucson's best bouldering with psyched up, strong kids.

Can you imagine Sherpa-ing that kind of bullsh¡t load for 3+ miles in and still crushing v9???
Fukkin A!

And one for Tom from the sesh before last

Little Bob makes the news!

We went up and did the horseshoe problem a couple of weeks ago. It was cool.

That new area you have looks great. We keep finding new to us problems, but haven't had a whole new boulder field in a while.

More backcountry bouldering for me.

Yes, those first two shots are critical elements to the sesh...

Dead ringer for Justin Beiber, but he has climbing in his blood. v3 pockets

New problem "My Perogative" v3

Twin slopers on another new one "Don't Font" v2

I've admired this boulder for years, as it's close to the area I've been doing new routes.
I'm so stoked there are strong and motivated boulderers committing to making it reality.
The project is called "Minnie's Haberdashery".

Minnie's Haberdashery.
The name is a clue to the grade.

Fight that barn door

Rafiki v6

We didn't think this would become a project but it did.
The top out is grim.
"Inhumane Society"

We can almost taste the soda pop and jalapeño chips.

This f u cking crew works harder than most to find the goods. Props to them.

Been bouldering alone a lot recently, because I can't seem to find partners, so no photos. Going out this afternoon after I work a bit on some math stuff. Meanwhile here's an old one from Minnehaha maybe 35 years ago. Just having fun on easy stuff in my green P.A.'s: no pads, chalk, names or grades!

Nice Yanqui-
I'm kind of in the same boat.
I'm usually in full equip/FA mode by now but my partner for those escapades has been out.
So I've been backcountry bouldering with youngsters, which is good.
Scratches a bunch of itches, really.

Here's what I've been waiting to get back to.

Here's what I've been doing instead.
Only a few hundred yards apart.

Well I guess I'll keep bombing this thread.

Fun lowball warmups

I didn't drink my V8

It's not a project anymore

Highballing at Fleming Beach

Actually Fleming Beach has, by far, the hardest (most sandbagged?) 5.10 boulder problems I've ever seen: slick rock and sick-hard moves, 20 feet off the solid concrete deck. With no crash pads and two artificial hips, I opted for a top rope. You'd have to be a lot stronger and bolder than me to onsight some of those puppies.

Maybe it's time to bring back the sesh. Two vids of easy problems. The first one was my initial attempt to film myself last week. The other one the kids took yesterday and has one of my signature belly-flop-mantle-to-knees moves at the end.
