Nah. He saw my ads for another editor, and instead of submitting a resume by email like everyone else, he showed up in person. His writing samples weren't that great, but his salary demands aren't going to put much of a hit on our budget (food scraps are cheap), so I'm thinking of hiring him anyway.
Weird though. He (she?) just showed up on my window ledge last week, and hung out for at least fifteen minutes, interacting with me. Even when I brought some of the staff into my office, he stayed. Didn't seem to mind us being inches away from him, and acting like...
...Hmmm. I'm reminded of someone looking at the monkeys in the cage at the zoo...
