it's not just about economics.
Add some fundamentalist christian righteousness and neo-Nazi racism. Stir well with the economic paralysis called Reaganomics. Add a tablespoon of Ruby Ridge, another of Waco and a pinch of Oklahoma City. Reduce rational thought with a big dose of an inadequate education system.
Tell everyone they have a right to unlimited personal firepower.
Simmer for 30+ years
outraged righteousness will boil over.
Talk about Sense Of Entitlement. These morons make liberals look like amateurs at it.

Republican's were gushing over Bundy before the "Negro" comments. You can't get too extreme for the tea party.

Look for posts here from extremists where law enforcement officers are called FEDS, as if they are an evil entity. The goal is to dehumanizes them, make them a faceless enemy.
Not surprising some nut in their ranks goes off in a blaze of gunfire. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.

Note the t-shirt for the radical militia member, Oath Keeper, Sheriff Gordon Martines.

On the plus side of reality----which Ron Angerson has clearly given up on!

Bluering posted this misinformed post earlier tonight, and has not apologized, but has not defended his mis-informed post.

They are not starting a revolution. They are pathetic, batsh*t crazy losers who want to play out their sick killing fantasies with the latest death-dealing technology they can get their hands on.

If they really want to protest they should try self-immolation and announce it ahead of time so we can all watch and bring the marshmallows.

Just put them all together on some island and they will eventually get so paranoid they will just wipe eachother out. Problem solved.

End of Rant...

Nice rant. Good thing that a Wallmart customer had CCW firearm to stop this thing very quickly.

Without that firearm owner, this thing could have gotten really bad. These 2 people were clearly f*#king crazy and willing to kill lots of people. I spit on their graves...

Sorry Bluering, your ccw (hidden pistol) guy made a big mistake and now he is dead.

OK! He is a CCW dead hero. Just because you have a CCW pistol doesn't mean you aren't fuking with folks that will shoot you,------while you are trying to be a hero.

The idea of having a CCW is to make that available as a last line of defense should some crazy as#@&%e with a gun, knife, or other deadly weapon back you into a corner or surprise you with no way out. It gives you the option of shooting back instead of sitting there like a ready-made victim.

It's bad policy to think because you've got a gun and a permit that you should take on law enforcement responsibilities and walk into a fire fight. He did a brave and stupid thing by trying it.

How many of you would have cheered him had he been successful in stopping the perpetrators? Ron for sure, bluering, and that's probably about it. The rest of you would be making fun of "just another f*#king gun nut". But hey, that's not the problem... he's dead so you can just make fun of him. Oh sorry, I mean you just get to make fun of him for being another victim (idiot gun nut, right?) instead of making fun of all the gun nuts with permits for not stepping up. Right?

This is true.
Including the brave part.
It's the idiocy of believing a CCW will stop determined criminals.

The young man in Seattle who took down the college shooter was very brave. He took a risk and won. You will note he was smart enough to wait until the shooter had to re-load. And he was in fact armed......with pepper spray.
Suppose the gunman had a bigger magazine? Would the monitor guy have had a chance?

Remember the guy in the bar in Nevada recently who took out an active shooter?

You're right, that guy was lucky.

Ever take one of those "active shooter" training deals they put on in places like universities for faculty and staff? Pretty much duck and cover. Prepare to fight back. With... um... books and stuff. Hmm...

It's not necessarily a belief that having a CCW is going to stop a shooter, it's having the ability to respond at more than arms-reach.

I would have cheered the now dead hero for being a hero.

I pulled a pistol on a giant crazy man that was breaking into my house, in the long ago, and I then had him beg me to kill him. I did not, and we both backed down, but the whole episode has bothered me ever since it happened.

Careful with those stories Fritz... this crowd will rip you a new one for being so anecdotal.

Part of what they teach you at a CCW class is that you may face civil liability, PTSD, and financial ruin as a result of shooting someone in self defense. The idea is it's going to be your last-ditch effort to save your life or the life of someone around you. It's not to be taken lightly. It's not an excuse to play hero, or big man. You wanta do that? Be a cop.

I guess I'm one of those weirdos whose glad some people have guns, but is worried about how much gun violence that we have in this country. I applauded that person who shot the crazed dude in Arizona. The one who shot the lady politician.

I have met, sold product to, and worked with Idaho militia members.

These militia folks have very strange values when compared to normal Americans, and they are actively seeking to destroy the America we love.

In jest, fritz. Ingest. I think there are a lot of groups that don't really have the best interests of the country at heart, or the freedom of the American people. Not just the militia you've had contact with.
And there are a lot of misguided individuals who think they've got our best interests at heart; but really screw up the execution.

The consensus in the thread on AR15.com, seems to be, the guy in Walmart saved a lot of lives by slowing them down.

Hard to say. Seems everything is on camera these days. Have to wait for it.
