Hey Standing Strong, is your Grand Ma-Mrs Donaldson?? If it is,
I have waited on your family tons of times- at Tuolumne Meadows
Lodge.

p.s. I look more like Ugly Betty....especially when I had braces.

Me after having climbed "Only Blueberries" (5.8) in the Lofoten Islands in Norway in 2004. The route is mentioned in this article by Ed Webster http://www.americanalpineclub.org/AAJO/pdfs/1994/webste_lofoten1994_90-95.pdf The hand jams were a bit hard on my soft skin but I was happy anyways.

The second picture (my photo and camera) is from a climbing competition in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2005. I had the pleasure
of being the driver for those people from Stockholm. The guy in the middle is Simon Brismo who managed a repeat of Dreamtime
(8b+) at Cresciano, Switzerland last summer.

The third picture shows the family of my brother. All of them are climbers, his wife being from China.

no i didn't see your question at first!

NITA?!!! YES!!!! I REMEMBER YOU NOW!!!!

i was wondering and i thought you might be, but i wasn't sure, i keep meaning to email you and ask.

YES that's my family!!! i didn't start going till my grandma brought me when i was ten, cuz my parents didn't go.

sometimes in the meadows, my grandma still asks, sometimes, "remember nita and andy i wonder whatever happened to them?"

DOOOD!!!!

at my grandma's house, there is a picture of you with us, bringing my tenth birthday cake! my first double digit!!! you put m&m's on it! i never ever forgot. next time i go over there i'll borrow the pics and find a scanner.

oh my gosh! my cousin and i thought you were the coolest EVER - remember when you showed us your tent cabin and read us that story? we were SO flattered by your attention and wanted to be just like you. You TOTALLY inspired us and both of us worked in yosemite when we were older - me in the valley and my cuz @ white wolf.

ohhh nita!!! i just wrote the coolest response and then my computer did this weird thing and i lost it...

guess what my g-ma loves you too!!! sometimes when the family is talking about our tuolumne times, she wonders, "whatever happened to nita and andy"???

she loves you too! i will call her a little later today and pass on your message - should i pass on your email address too? my grandma is totally savvy and hip! she totally uses the internet.

and as for those pics - well i think you look pretty! but how about if i email them to you FIRST and then if you like, YOU can post? i will be there for easter in a couple of weeks - she loves for us to come to her church (episcopal! none of that conservative evangelical stuff for our fam!) and i will borrow them and find a scanner.

nita seriously - my cousins and i LOVED you and always thought you were the coolest!

nita! it's okay hottie i'm a digitard too - i have some pics from climbing the other day, my buddy put them on a mini cd and gave them to me last night - but i can't figure out how to open it on my computer!!! i am seeing him later today - he's off throwing hay (told you guys i'm country!!!) and hopefully i can get them online...

so i'll be at g.ma's in a couple of weeks - expect them around easter, 'kay?

do you ever go to the meadows? i forget what dates we're goin' next summer but if you're there at the same time you guys should come hang with us!!!

i'll give my g-ma your email addy - is that okay? i'm sure she'd LOVE to hear from you. we love you too! seriously i wanted to be just like you! i havn't worked in the meadows, it has never worked with my schedule - i almost got a job there when i worked in yos but i had to leave before they closed so they gave me a job cashiering in the valley... i still kinda wanna do time in the meadows but i am think i'm doing other stuff this summer... and i don't really fit in with the climber/stoner crowd at all, i'm too dorky for them!

tuolumne would be the ideal place for our wedding, but tahoe would be much more convenient and easy for our family and friends to get to.

don't worry, we've got plenty of time to plan. we'd need to be engaged for the traditional amount of time. we can't just elope, or else my family would kill us :)
