neebee those are really nice borders, hon.
A bouquet from the late 1940s, a European sampler.
And another bouquet from the States.
It looks to me like these photos by RD and Jim could be cut into some really hard jigsaw puzzles.

Here are some of the photos I've have taken in preparation for various plants sales at the UC Santa Cruz Arboretum. Today, I got to pinch grip pots as we moved a lot of plants in preparation for tomorrow's sale. The species name of Grevillea petrophiloides means "rock loving" or something fairly close to that. It is one of my current favorite flowers from Australia.

the humble ottychoke. they be eaten by omnivores like we'uns. some folks calls 'em cardoons, but I ain't never seed 'em on Sattid'y. I like them french-fried ottychoke hearts. they got'em in Castroville. They use what they call a kaiser blade but I calls it a sling blade.

Flowering season is starting early this year with these warm temps. and extreme lack of snow. These were all taken last friday in eastern Plumas County at about 6000 feet. It's already a bit hot and dusty out there.
