Climbers...Unreliable, no not here in CA. Perhaps in others less favored states.....:DDD

and for the Choices for Chicks......that would be

Beans bolts and beers

OR

Boys (men) bolts and beers

and I'm pretty sure Tami would agree, it would be the second. :)

By the way, in regards to the question of taking money up front. I'm not sure I have time to manage that. So I'll take an educated guess on the fish to bring in. maybe keep it to a certain dollar amount and we'll go from there.

if john really can get a 50lb of sushi rice we'll be able to feed people. I'll also commit to getting some extra fish to take home and if it doesn't make it then that's cool.

As long as everyone remembers that:
1) we're trying to help Jim
2) no matter what you chip in you'll be paying a fraction of what the sushi would cost you at a sushi bar. And unless you are use to Belagio quality sushi chances are it's some of the best sushi you've ever had.

Advice needed as to potential travel plans. The general idea is to fly down for five or six days, never mind the ozone layer, the cost, and that it would be a lot cheaper to just mail a cheque. So as to attend the festivities, but also get in some exercise and fresh air.

Flights from Vancouver to Ontario (California) seem significantly cheaper than those to Palm Springs. On the map and according to MapQuest, it's about an hour drive (rental car) from Ontario to Palm Springs. Does flying to Ontario seem plausible? I don't know enough about traffic and roads in the area to judge if it makes sense. Advice as to travel plans welcome. Thanks!

traffic would depend on when you land (and what day)

The plan is to arrive and depart as close to midday as possible, assuming that morning and late afternoon traffic is more challenging.

I said midday, pilgrim, not High Noon. Sheesh!

And Ron will be advising as to an appropriate arsenal. Can't be too careful.

Hope you can make it Ana.

Anders, Ontario is a stellar airport. My choice of all in our region. If you fly into Palm Springs it would be closer to Josh. But driving from Ontario to Josh is pretty similar to the time it takes me to drive to the Tree.

Post or email me any questions you have. Looking forward to seeing yo. :D lynnie

It's an easy drive on freeways. You are far enough east to miss most of the metro traffic. See you there!

Ontario is a much better choice (economically) than Palm Springs. Always cheaper on flight and rental car. Easy drive, especially if you land early enough to beat traffic. I almost always fly into Ontario and will do so this trip.

Another viable option, albeit with a bit nastier drive, is John Wayne/Orange County airport. Almost always cheaper than LAX and sometimes cheaper than Ontario, but you must deal with that LA burb traffic shite.

Let it be know that WIRED BLISS is going to be revived in the near future.

Wired Bliss has committed these five new TCUs that are engraved BridwellFest to the Jim Bridwell fund raiser.

The Wired Bliss truck will be at BridwellFest so drop by and get a sticker.
