The repubs got lulled into simply opposing everything 'obama', and sitting on their hands for the last 8 years.
They did nothing to further their own cause, and now they are suddenly bitching about Trump?

Is kneeling before Hillary the same as worshiping that old rugged crotch ?

Old nasty crotch is exactly what we need in DC right now, not young supplicant senators.

Old nasty crotch...

Can we please get past the sexist remarks? Would anyone refer to a man as "old saggy balls" or "smelly cause he can't reach past his belly to clean them balls?"

The Republican GOP speaks:

OPEN LETTER ON DONALD TRUMP FROM GOP NATIONAL SECURITY LEADERS

We the undersigned, members of the Republican national security community, represent a broad spectrum of opinion on America’s role in the world and what is necessary to keep us safe and prosperous. We have disagreed with one another on many issues, including the Iraq war and intervention in Syria. But we are united in our opposition to a Donald Trump presidency. Recognizing as we do, the conditions in American politics that have contributed to his popularity, we nonetheless are obligated to state our core objections clearly:

His vision of American influence and power in the world is wildly inconsistent and unmoored in principle. He swings from isolationism to military adventurism within the space of one sentence.

His advocacy for aggressively waging trade wars is a recipe for economic disaster in a globally connected world.

His embrace of the expansive use of torture is inexcusable.

His hateful, anti-Muslim rhetoric undercuts the seriousness of combating Islamic radicalism by alienating partners in the Islamic world making significant contributions to the effort. Furthermore, it endangers the safety and Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms of American Muslims.

Controlling our border and preventing illegal immigration is a serious issue, but his insistence that Mexico will fund a wall on the southern border inflames unhelpful passions, and rests on an utter misreading of, and contempt for, our southern neighbor.

Similarly, his insistence that close allies such as Japan must pay vast sums for protection is the sentiment of a racketeer, not the leader of the alliances that have served us so well since World War II.

His admiration for foreign dictators such as Vladimir Putin is unacceptable for the leader of the world’s greatest democracy.

He is fundamentally dishonest. Evidence of this includes his attempts to deny positions he has unquestionably taken in the past, including on the 2003 Iraq war and the 2011 Libyan conflict. We accept that views evolve over time, but this is simply misrepresentation.

His equation of business acumen with foreign policy experience is false. Not all lethal conflicts can be resolved as a real estate deal might, and there is no recourse to bankruptcy court in international affairs.

Mr. Trump's own statements lead us to conclude that as president, he would use the authority of his office to act in ways that make America less safe, and which would diminish our standing in the world. Furthermore, his expansive view of how presidential power should be wielded against his detractors poses a distinct threat to civil liberty in the United States. Therefore, as committed and loyal Republicans, we are unable to support a Party ticket with Mr.Trump at its head. We commit ourselves to working energetically to prevent the election of someone so utterly unfitted to the office.

The statement above was coordinated by Dr. Eliot A. Cohen, former Counselor of the Department of State (2007–8), and Bryan McGrath, Managing Director of The FerryBridge Group, a defense consultancy. They encourage other members of the Republican foreign policy and national security communities wishing to sign the declaration to contact them.

We should because that sounds hilarious.

We could refer to Trump as Old Ginger Balls.

For seven years, Romney had no criticism of President Obama, yet he feels the need to unload on Trump.

I can see why the Republican voters are pissed.

Maybe 3 years Chaz, but Romney certainly attacked Obama during the election. And he's been pretty much quiet about everything since then.

I can't believe anyone thinks the Democrats stoop as low as the Repubs. Yes the Dems lie, and do underhanded tricks, but the Repubs take it to another level. To see them turning on each other isn't surprising. Trump attacked W for 9/11 worse than any prominent Dem in office has. And now many Reps are attacking Trump.

I don't think it's all politics. I think they are genuinely concerned about Trump as we all should be. The guy has the worst temperament of any serious contender I've ever seen.

Did I actually hear Romney calling for Trump to release his tax returns?

When is Romney going to admit participating in the tax amnesty program?

I just don't like the fact that a woman is being attacked on her sexual identity when this is never the case with male candidates. I mean - take a damned LOOK at the most of them. They do not tend to be an attractive lot, yet the worse any of them gets flap over is the Drumpf and his flap of hair.

And Werner, I had to giggle over your post, with the imagery. I imagined him pressing the button like it was one of his talking dolls, just to hear his own voice.

And Nita - holy carp! I didn't see that posted yet. That's....serious. I guess we'll be hearing from Trump pretty soon saying he will run on his own ticket.

Check yourself, Happie-G.

Read what you've written about Trump.

Besides, Christie's fat.

Boehner is spray-painted, or something. And his name has been perverted for laughs.

Rubio drinks water, and wears elevator shoes.

Biden's hair is mostly plugs.

We could write a book or two on the crap slung at President Obama, like his elephantino ears. Or "mom pants".

H. Clinton doesn't own the off-topic insult monopoly.

There is context in insults. Calling W a chimp is much less offensive than if that was said about Obama. As the fairer and typically more disadvantaged sex women will be more sensitive and should be treated with more deference than males IMO. But that doesn't put them off limits. Especially if something is truly funny. It doesn't bother me. Bill's sexual identity was and is a huge source of good comedy material.

To Chaz: And none of the things you posted is a part of a person's sexual/gender identity.

I also don't believe I have posted anything about Trump's gender identity, but will admit as so if you care to copy/paste/link. Now, I have said he is misogynist, true. But this has been pretty much accepted as fact by anyone with the capability of reason.

Maybe if people made comments about some of the older male politicians wearing of Depends undergarments, or being unable to get it up without Viagra, it would be different.

edit:
Bill's sexual identity was and is a huge source of good comedy material.

Sure, but why make Hillary pay for his behavior?

No doubt there is one or two guys on this board who has cheated on their wives, or used prostitutes, and maybe even taken advantage of a woman at a party who had had too much to drink(and maaaybe even having pushed drinks at the woman intentionally). Would any one here make fun of the wives of such a man?
