I have some fruitcake, too.

the Rev's brother-in-law brought it over when they visited from about 2 till 4:30 this afternoon. It began raining big time and there was lots of thunder while we looked at my picture file. Will was sitting there especially pleased to see some vintage shots of Jeff and other friends like Bard and Limber Linda and so I took him on a tour of the good old Old Camp 4 Photos, etc. thread; and then the Merced River Photography Plan thread, enhanced handsomely by DMT just today.

I got to walk about thirteen or so blocks today in having my blood drawn out at the Clinic. I've been called with the results early this afternoon and must make changes to the dosages of blood anti-coagulant = Warfarin =Coumadin. My "level" is much too high. I kind of believe that it may have something to do with my dizziness, too. I had a hard time with that out walking.

And my legs hurt during that exercise--not used to it, weak from sitting here in the room. Lasix combining with Metolazone. Who knows? I got the walk in and it rained buckets later, and I didn't get wet, so things are great here in Middle Earth.

I want to thank you, feralfae, for the bewk. Nice wrapping job, providing me with two green bewk mocks, too! Merry Christmas!

And Lilabiene and Camila, I'm so proud of you two.

Those low-sodium blends will get a proper workout and the recipe cards are nice...they look just like Monopoly realty cards. In addition to the spice blends, you sent to me a couple of weeks back the bewk Yosemite In the Fifties. What a giving soul! So neebee-like.

I'll be saying prayers tonight for all you Flamin' Groovies.

The Flamin' Groovies is an American rock music band whose peak was in the 1960s and 1970s. They began in San Francisco in 1965, founded by Cyril Jordan and Roy Loney.

They are perhaps best known for their song "Shake Some Action", a cover version of which, by American band Cracker, was later featured in the 1995 movie Clueless.

The group have been called one of the forerunners of punk rock, and they also had a MAJOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111 influence on the power pop genre.

Let's see how THE Muppet likes the Flamin' Groovies...will she dane to it?

Tonight is my daughter's 37th birthday.

Happy Birthday, Bevin!
I remember when you were bald ( So cute.)
I remember why we called (you)
The Girl Who Sang So Well the Wild Birds Stopped to Listen
We simply liked this meming of your name (So Irish.)
We hoped that it would rise to your fame (and)
Vast fortune, enviable beauty, and a big heart.
You've accomplished the last two--
Good for you!
Beauty is in the eye of the bee holder, is that not so, my honey?
And one's real treasure is in friends, and not following the ideals of the likes of old Phineas Scrooge anyway.
So there. This pic of you and Dara is from last year. You've been busy with moving cross-country and I can only imagine...
As your Grampy used to say, "Write when you get work."

Lenna cooked up a Prench Toast Casserole for breakfast and Adam's out shoveling his car free while his girls are out enjoying the snow.

They got a lot yesterday morning and then just a couple of inches last night. The temps were in the teens last night and 34 degrees at 11 a.m.

It's all so California, huh? The folks in the Rockies are havin' a good laugh at these temps.

Christmas Past, Not Christmas Fast

Some Christmases were culinary delights
And Mom’s menus were marvelous sights.
Evel skeevers sometimes topped the charts
But a casserole with porkish links often won our hearts.
Eggs Benedict and Mimosas were served once in a while
But Dad’s Silver Gin Fizzes always made us smile!

Merry Christmas ! mouse,
from before moon set - till after sun set
I'm submerged
sub urged,
sublime
smiling so hard my face hurts.
Lost in rocks the size of houses

18-20 in 100 feet are climbable lines,
very easy too
and every thing to the impossible
are every where
the cliff awaits

The approach holds some climbs from my when I lived At Mohonk
How did I do that
and that too
and Scare City never mind Foops!
( which is now fixed and bolted! )
, Merry Christmas from one submerged in Quartzite
the pure line is no climbing without paying the one guide service ,
So for two days I will beat my ankles into pulp . . . . . ???
then the foot ankle lock down shuffle for a solid week
But it is tee shirt weather that and the Christmas full moon
Los Angeleans in the house forcing Xmas on 'em - making them watch as we sang carols
In front of Chirstmas, tree and smooched under mistletoe .
Merry Christmas !

Yes, evacuate the Spurs!

They have the second-best record in the conference.

Gotta respect that.

I wonder what Gnome's record is with the CT Rockers? Sounds like he's pretty game compared to last season!

GO GNOME, GO!
Show'em yer not slow.
Reach that hold!
Goin' for that gold!

Enjoy the kids' vacation!

Enjoy this one.

It's plum cold in MT.

Stay warm up there!

It's only 44 degrees here, but inside my concrete bunker it's slightly less,
causing me some unwelcome distress, so I'm bundled in my reclining chair,
with the heater control in my hand and a separate fan to spread it round.

Best I can do for now.
