G-d knows the future and he tells us before it happens to warn us and prepare us, and to get our hearts and our lives back to G-d before it happens so we may be saved.
G-d has warned us for a long time that a judgement is coming to Earth again. Yeshua said the last days before his return "... would be like The Days of Noah." To know what those days were like one must read The Book of Enoch, (aka 1 Enoch). Those days were not good. Pure evil. G-d had to wipe out all life except for a man who walked in G-d's ways, and thereby also saving his family. That man would be Noah.
Well G-d told us over 2000 years ago in The Book of Revelation, that another judgement was headed to Earth. Impact by either meteoroids, asteroids, or cometary fragments. Read about Star Wormwood and the impacts that come to Earth just before that, and then also due to Wormwood in The Book of Revelation Chapter 8.
Now it has been revealed the signal "Comets" came through in 1977 in the search for Extra-Terrestrial intelligent life via signals from space.

G-d's word told us of this phenomenon over 2000 years ago before we finally became aware of the science of astrogeology, meteoritics, and Impact science within the last 60 years. Now we know. Now we know its a very real possibility. We have seen it happen to the planet Jupiter live via telescope. Science has finally caught up to G-d's word on this topic of interest. We even now look to space for such an event occurring. But G-d tells us it will hit us and we won't be able to do a thing about it. 1/3 of the Earth will die.

Way cool stapelioids, Craig. Too bad the interwebs can't convey, uhh, aromas. A few decades ago, I was living in a southern state and had a Stapelia gigantea that had never flowered, so I forgot all about it. It was in a window, great growing conditions. I went climbing for the weekend in early summer (warm!) and came back to my closed up apartment that had warmed up considerably (hot!). And WHOOOO EEEE something had died. I looked everywhere for a dead mouse or worse, checked the garbage. Wondered if my beeraholic neighbor had kicked it weeks previous. Everything. Then I remembered the plant. Man, it would have brought carrion flies from hundreds of miles away.

Wouldn't it have been awesome if Indiana Jones found Noah's ark instead of that stupid gold box. Well the gold box did melt the nazi's faces, that was rad.
But Indy piloting an ark would be too cool. He'd launch it off a mountainside then get in a chase with a Nazi uboat. Jack Sparrow and John Madden (a Raider you know) could join him and blast those nazis into oblivion.

So this god-thing is communicating via comets only to those hip enough to understand it and the message is that it loves us and wants us to change our evil ways so we don't burn in eternal fire. But isn't this thing the creator of everything we know? So why doesn't it do something completely undeniable that even a cretin could believe like simulcast this message on all forms of media in every language 24 hrs a day for a month? Pretty sure it would get more converts that way.
Or maybe the simplest explanation is that there is no god-thing and there will be no apocalypse (at least not by some zombie ghost).
