Thanks for the welcome guys! SoCalBolter claiming that it's just hobby and for remembering times with friends makes me laugh... your photos are just so good!
Another photo from the slabs at Devil's Peak, Hong Kong. Public Execution (5.7). Good holds and some slabby bridging in this vague trough.
Michael Endrizzi on the mixed trad/bolted route, Between Heaven and Hell (5.9), making moves through the slabby crux.
Me further up on the same route. The route makes some steeper moves up some cracks on this house sized block before a mantle topout.
Chris Fornelli on a hard crack that only recently saw an FA. (Sorry no photos of the FA!). This thin seam closes up to fingernails only and a higher crimp provides moves into the corner in the background. (I'm guessing no-one here is going to be worried about me ruining their onsight of this obscure and yet to be announced HK climb!)
Looks like choss but is the bullet hard quartzite of Arapiles, Austrlia. Me on the final crux of Cantata (5.10), this route heads up the side of D-minor Pinnacle, with the very popular eponymous route up the series of cracks to my left.

Joe -
Thanks for the kind words.
I was entirely honest when I said that. I have a decent camera, but know how to do very little of what it can do.
The largest part of the successful climbing pic formula (IMO) is getting the composition correct and putting yourself in the position necessary to get the shot. I try very hard to do this and then I just shoot a bunch and figure something from the batch will look good.
This is not to minimize the efforts of the pros in any way. Those guys can get much better shots than mine without having to shoot the volume, and while actually knowing how to work with the features on their cameras.
Glad you liked the shots. I'll be posting some more soon.

I've been offline for a while working on a new climbing gym project and returned to the forum tonight. I was surprised to see that this thread had fallen so low.
Does anybody post climbing pic's around here?

Now Tork, how is anyone supposed to find & repeat the route on rock like that when you don't place bolts?? ;-)
BTW, Pete is happy to talk. Said you hadn't contacted him yet.

Ed,
We didn't bake up there but we did enjoy a few green labels around the campfire that evening. Although that came to a startling end when a bullet someone left for us in the fire ring went off. Scared the sh#t out of me.
The temps on that part of Gray were actually quite nice.
Nate,
Sorry, we did put a few bolts in but not many in five pitches.
Also, I made contact with Pete, thanks.
Chris,
Nice pics, those two routes are popular for a reason.I Need to get back there!
