Welll. Sheeet! That was utterly dire. Just when I thought there might be a ray of light in the return leg.
This hurts more than those big losing scorelines against Chelsea, Liverpool and MU of years past. I really thought this team had more than this and should have easily handled Monaco.

They looked lost out there. Giroud shoulda had a couple, Welbeck was unlucky. Hats off to Monaco though, they deserved that one.
Gunna be tough for them against 3 away goals.
Leverkusen played great too. Lucked out on a disallowed goal.

Yes, Giroud, who has been playing pretty well, definitely picked a bad time to have an off game.
And the rest of the team didn't look too great either. I'd be tempted to switch back to Szeceny, as Ospina was poor.
Agree with the credit to Monaco, they played well and had a good game plan.

EPL is probably the most balanced, but the top teams are from the other leagues. They do play more games and don't have a winter break, but I agree that the EPl is overrated.
