The youngin' (14)
The other youngin' (19), medical student and National Javalin Champion:
On another note, I can't believe how many gender errors I've made. I thought most of the females had left st.com, but I see now that I was way wrong!

All this time I thought Flouride and Matisse were guys - clearly I keep forgetting just how many women are better climbers than I am. Kudos to both of you...

Thanks Werner you rock big time man.
Largo as a dad, ok I'll get used to it.
Roy as way-fit multi-cultured guy with
a sense of style all his own -
that one I already knew...awesome.

Then & now ... it seems the headband has been replaced by a hat. Now why would that be?
Bad weather can still be good times.

Largo's daughters!
Dude, you've done well and for some of us those shots are long over due.
Now lemme see: the 19 year old a med student & national javalin champ?
Why am I not surprised.
No less for the cool news and that's a real treat to boot.
Well done John.

Todd,
Nice to see you and the fam. You win, there's no way 500 desert towers could compete with the past, present and future happiness encompassed in that family shot.
On another note, seeing all of you made me REALLY want to come to the Sushifest. I was ready to drop the cash and fly to wherever, whenever. Unfortunately, after looking back through 1000 posts, I realized that it's on 4/20. I have a trip planned that weekend with people from 3 different states and it's not movable. (at least it's a climbing trip) Anyway, I just wanted to say that I will be there in spirit.
Take lots of pictures...

Wow, I'm thinking this is the best thread I've ever been part of. What shines through all the remarkable diversity is the passion climbers seem to take with them along the way. Hair thins, faces wrinkle, minds fog over but the heart still longs for the Big Experience, the Big Love, the feeling of being alive and sharing it too.
Mighty fine . . .

Way back: me, in focus, Graham out of focus. Timer shot on summit of the Aiguille du Pouce, 1976.
More recent: Last summer on summit of Longs Peak with my youngest, David. He turns 21 next month.

I'll add a few from the way-back machine...
Bouldering w/some friends (me in center) at Santee, CA (1979?):
Me on my honeymoon in Idyllwild, CA - 1980:
My wife, Liz, on (ironically) the same honeymoon!
...and this year...
My awesome (no bias--it's objectively true) son, Joe, hiking in Icycle Canyon near Leavenworth, WA - 2006:
