I do take exception Bob, to your characterization of the Duck. The Duck is the Duck. An irreplaceable, living treasure. For me, a protected species, even if they sh*t all over the lawn in the park. [just to be clear, I'm not referring to The Park].

You're nutcase Bob just as the rest of you Hillary politards here.
You are for Trump you are just too scare to say it.
You have similar traits just like Trump.
Call me a Hillary loon all you want, I much rather aligned myself with an intelligent, moderate politican than a full on lying whack job who believes every conspiracy theories out there.

What the libtards don't know is that Canada won't have them unless they bring a pile of
cash or go live in Hong Kong or Aleppo for a year. I might leave regardless of who wins -
I'm tired of living in a second world country. I just checked out some really nice condos in

Interesting, but we may be past the point where endorsements matter too much.

Some pundit on PBS the other night said Trump had a decent chance of winning in November if (and it was a big if)... if he kept his mouth shut from his acceptance speech until election day. But obviously, that didn't happen.
Until recently, he had done a remarkable job keeping his numbers up. But his latest gaffes looked to be the tipping point.
Stick a fork in him. He's done.
Now, the big question is will he stay in the race? Or will he take his ball and go home?

One thing we would want to check is that the same method and manner of reporting is utilized in comparing two different time reports.
The old WTF we talkin' about of statistical methods
Reliability is another term for consistency. If one person takes the samepersonality test several times and always receives the same results, the test isreliable.
A test is valid if it measures what it is supposed to measure. If theresults of the personality test claimed that a very shy person was in factoutgoing, the test would be invalid

Another really good question is: what is next for the Republican Party? They nominated fairly moderate candidates in the last two presidential elections (McCain and Romney) and lost. This year, they nominated an openly racist bigot, who will also lose. Most polling indicates that running a far right conservative like Cruz/Santorum/ Huckabee, etc. would also result in a loss--because the USA is just not that conservative anymore.
So, what do they do?

Conservatism as a set of basic principles has been usurped by the Christian right. Today people like Cruz, Santorum, Huckabee, Carson, etc., are seen as definitive of conservatism. They are not. They are at the far right of the spectrum. Calling them conservatives is as valid as calling a liberal a communist.
Everyone's seen the old Goldwater remarks before. And he was right.
"Mark my word, if and when these preachers get control of the [Republican] party, and they're sure trying to do so, it's going to be a terrible damn problem. Frankly, these people frighten me. Politics and governing demand compromise. But these Christians believe they are acting in the name of God, so they can't and won't compromise. I know, I've tried to deal with them."

And Reagan opened the door to the White House to them, he knew his base was shrinking. That is the republican party, they own the Christian right and the Tea Party.
It's not the party of Lincoln or Reagan, it is the party of Falwell. http://www.npr.org/2012/04/26/151444474/party-of-reagan-no-party-of-falwell-writer-says

" I think that in this case the real number for young black men out of work (as opposed to "unemployed" as more narrowly defined) is the number which is relevant to any sort of policy decisions. "
Well, sure. Because you are not counted as unemployed for stats if you are not actively seeking work. So there could be a substantial amount of folks who gave up seeking work due to any number of reasons, the biggest likely being there are no job opportunities in their communities that pay a living wage.
Add that a significant percent of young black men are incarcerated, and forcibly removed from the labor pool. There is a serious racial discrimination aspect to arrests and sentencing, where black men receive much harsher sentences than a middle class white guy would receive for the same crime.
Without the dumbass "war on drugs" thanks to the 70s/80s era GOP, and the dumbass adventures in the sandbox, thanks to the 00s era GOP; we would likely be in pretty good financial shape as a country and could have used all those trillions we pissed down a hole in Iraq and Afghanistan to shore up Social Security and medicare, invest in our national infrastructure (we have rock bottom borrowing costs, would be stupid not to use that gift of low rates to make investments in infrastructure that pay off way beyond what they cost.

The drug war has always been bi partisan. And the large amount of incarcerated black youth in prison is mainly the result of them emulating the lives of rappers whose stories are fictional. It like white rednecks thinking being a hick is cool because they don't understand Larry the cable guy is just an act. Except for black youth emulating their thug icons ends in predictable tragedy
