The other weirdest thing? That is The Iceman in the commercial with Wade.
I wonder how much he got paid in comparison with bon Jovi's DirectTV commercials.

A spanking for GS.
Curry and Klay, 4/16 from 3-Point Land, eight to go in the last Q.
Much better rebounding for the Cavs tonight.

Seven games is my goal with Wilt's team winning in #7.
This home court advantage warrants some real analysis.

A couple days ago my 9 yr old son said, "I hope the Warriors lose one in Cleveland so they can 'win it at home..'"
We had a discussion about rooting against your team (of course.)
New series? I got game 5 tix (my son will not be going! Ha!). Prices for the Finals tix have been soft so far.
Klay and Steph tired and slightly injured.

Looks like the Warriors bench out-scored Cavs again which means Cavs are wearing out their starters.. Warriors win series 4-2 and Wilt finger rolls over in his grave..

For me, OT or Double OT with one point differential is a good night.
Of course UCLA should be the winner.
I feel bad for Love, but CAVs may be better with him as sixth man.
Not sure!

Tell me he blew that shot...that's a pretty big image LJ is having to shoulder as the Promised One.
Side bet with zBrown ($.45), or a gentleman's wager, better yet:
That the series goes seven, regardless of the winners.
(No Charlie Sheen jokes, please.)

^OK, one bottle opener it is. I think I can get a deal on multiple-unit purchase @ Poway Thrift Store. Economies of scale could bring the price down 50%.

Anyway, back to roundball.
The best-of-seven game series will follow a 2-2-1-1-1 format with the Golden State Warriors securing home court advantage.
Wouldn't it just piss off the fanz, if they moved the final game in a 3-3 tie to a neutral court?
How about an outside game on:
USS Midway (closer than going to the island)
USS Carl Vinson (not Carl Wilson, Love's 'sortof' relative)
USS Yorktown (historical tie-in back to before bball even existed)
USS Bataan (Sketchy - Death March?)
I want to see who the real playground (though some of my friends called it 'ghetto')* ballers are.
Sneeky peak. Probably the realist, this "Black Jesus" fellow.
Could be some argument here.
*Some folks call it street ball, but I never saw anyone playing in the actual streets.

Hi Brian,
He did make that shot, in the 3rd quarter,
Too high, too far from the basket
Stretch and dunk
James in team huddle just prior to 3rd game: "Follow my lead and do your (expletive) jobs."
Irving said James' words helped him realize "the magnitude of what's about to happen, going out there and battling, understanding that we're being led by a great player. We all understood that. We all know our roles. We know what to expect from one another, but the platform we're on, understanding the moment, he does a great job of dialing us in."
I live in Cleveland and am a Cavs fan but that does not keep me from observing how teams play. The Warriors are very good, but what I notice is that they don't often lose their team play, so they play above the sum of their parts, whereas the Thunder and the Cavs both can lose their team play. Only a few players can make points taking on the other team alone: Curry can do it way outside; James can do it in traffic.
We also notice that the Cavs are James' team while the Warriors are just the Warriors. I think that that is a benefit to the Warriors.
Interestingly, when the Raptors played the Cavs in Cleveland and got creamed, their coach commented “LeBron is a computer,” Casey said. “You show him one thing and he’s going to pick you apart.” That does not mean that James always shoots well, but he always seems to know how to play basketball. I suspect that Curry and Thompson are the same. Then it comes down to next in line: I think that the Cavs are disadvantaged in this regard.
When you look at how well both teams did during the year, it is telling that they both struggled in the final four and now in the finals, sort of inexplicity so. Hopefully both will struggle some more. If the Cavs win on Friday, the playoffs are likely to be interesting. The playoffs are such a head game. But as climbers, we know all about that.

It doesn't appear that the charts I'm looking for exist, but these are kind of interesting.
Steph Curry shot chart last season.
About the first quarter of this season.
The percentage of Curry’s attempts in that mid-range area now account for only 9.4 percent of his total shots, and he’s hitting them at a much higher rate. He’s even more efficient at the rim despite attempting them at a nearly identical rate to last season. And now more than half his attempts, 54.9 percent, are threes, compared to 47.6 last season. So he’s taking more threes than last year and hitting them at a higher rate and cut back taking shots in the areas where he was least efficient a season ago.
As Luke Walton says:
“By shooting and making those threes, it opens up the court for everyone else. Defenses have to put two guys on him 25 feet from the basket. It allows our other guys to get open looks and driving lanes. It’s not like we went up to Steph and told him to shoot more threes. He’s just gotten better and he’s choosing to do that.”
