Snowed for the first time in Cairo in over 100 years. However NBC news tonight said: "just a skiff of snow."

I RECALL DRIVING THROUGHT A SNOW STORM ALL THE WAY FROM BISHOP TO LANCASTER ONCE. CAN'T RECALL WHAT YEAR IT WAS. DO RECALL THAT THERE WASN'T MUCH TRAFFIC I drove from Mojave to Bishop one time in a snow storm. The road was only open to those with 4wd, and there weren't many cars, either. It was about 1988.

1988 TIMEFRAME IS ABOUT RIGHT, MAYBE WE PASSED EACH OTHER.
WE WERE IN A LITTLE HONDA STATION WAGON WHICH COULD HARDLY KEEP THE SNOW OFF THE WINDOWS.

Hey Wilbeer, heard the same thing talking with my 91 year old Dad last night who lives in Western Pa. I admonished him NOT to get out on the snow blower. He has assured me that he's finally hired that out.
Stay warm and safe all you East Coasters!!! I'm headed out for a bike ride in regular bike shorts. Go figure...too warm here actually.

Chance of light snow next week and then the high pressure ridge returns for most of January.... I'm trying to stay positive but man I chose a sh#t year to move to Tahoe.

Depression and sense of doom is the prevailing mood here in the Tahoe Sierra. Yea you can go climbing but man it's January, things are not right! There's been talk in the Trench of burning the Ghoulwe snow god Ningue and to praise Ullr, these are times that test faith.
