Edit to add I am betting that Raven = Rox.

That was my thought, after rejecting the idea that it was Fattrad based on completely different writing style.

Yeah, Stannard, Donini, Gill, Goldstone, Ament, Higgens--actually I could go on and on with the list of "old bold" regulars who do post here regularly. Perhaps you're thinking of a different website?

ONE Werner is worth more to us all than a thousand of the posters like Nature, a feel good blowhard whose only real link to this group is that he makes big money off an illegal business run for profit within the National Park Systems of our nation.

I'm not really interested in comparing Werner to anyone, but you are fully incorrect that Nature makes his money illegally within any National Park. He works in IT and whether Werner is better then him or not has nothing to do with this conversation.

Also,, if this were about shutting up people who disagree with some point point of view, then why would Crowley and Wes be banned.. as they had fully divergent points of view from Fattrad. Just something to think about.

As for big dogs leaving.. I know a few big dogs who scoffed at the idea of joining supertopo. Guys with first ascents on things like the captain. They had read the taco and didn't care for all the negativity. I encouraged them to share their stories, but they just laughed at the notion. These are guys CMac knows.

I called all the people who had wanted fattrad banned, pussies.

I was defending fattrads right to be here.

His point of view was unique and gave insight into the mind of this type of personality whether one sees it as good or bad and did not matter to me.
