Just askin', but why do no photos of Degnan exist here?

Rhetorical question, but I'd venture that it is because nobody put them here.

Using this clever device I read about

"Joyously devastating" is right!Kat was tending bar at the 510 Bistro last night when I stopped in on my ramble.

I went to the tobacco store, Cigar Monkey, and got that tin of Dunhill's by way of a present to myself...it's really tasty and lasts lots longer than the Norwegian blend, real cheapo stuff, that.

Then I took care of business at the Post Office. Then I said Merry Christmas to Melissa, the owner of Coffee Bandits. I had to explain why I haven't been around. I got a free coffee out of this encounter.

I took the coffee and went across the street to say hi and Merry Christmas to Barry at the Antiques Mall and he showed me a deal one of his dealers had on postcards and I got a bagful pretty cheap.

I then went to the Bistro and watched the Saints get beat by the Lions on MNF. The servers who work at the Bistro, all ladies, met and opened wine and had a "meeting," something people do when they meet. The boss, Mark, had called them in to discuss whatever he had to discuss.

But Kat, the bartender, and I had a good conversation about Dodge Ridge and how good the skiing is there this week. She had been up there Sunday, the day before, and said she was snowed on most of the day. There were already 24" of powder and it was getting better all the time.

CCAC is located on Broadway at College Ave., Oakland.

It's pretty close to the Mormon Temple.Have they the temerity to keep that fountain going in the drought?

Y'all know that Rosie is from National City (via Oregon and Alaska) right? I lived there too, before upgrading to CV.

Orale.

I was born Rosalie Hamlin on July 21st, 1945 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. I attended Denali Elementary School in Anchorage, Alaska and Ira Harlison Elementary in National City, California. I then attended Granger Jr. High and O’Farrell Jr. High, SweetWater High in National City, and Mission Bay High in San Diego. Because I was always traveling, I had a tutor and didn’t graduate in regular fashion. My home life growing up in Alaska was a lot of fun. We always seemed to be swimming or doing something water related. I always enjoyed horseback riding, ice skating, skiing, mountain climbing, fishing and target practicing.

...

After recording for Highland Records, Jackie Wilson and his manager suggested that I come to New York along with guitarist Noah Tafolla and record for the Brunswick label. We had the honor of opening for Jackie Wilson at the Brooklyn Paramount Theater for six shows daily. Also on the bill were Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Marcells, Benny King, Maxine Brown, Carla Thomas , The Isley Brothers, Del Shannon, Bobby Vee and Bobby Rydel.

I consider myself fortunate to have worked with Johnny Otis, Big Joe Turner, Big Momma Thorton, Thurston Harris, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry and Little Richard. I’ve worked with Freddy Fender and all of the East Los Angeles Groups. Malo, Tierra, and El Chicano to name a few. When the Rolling Stones came to America, I opened for them in San Diego. John Lennon recorded Angel Baby saying little Rosie was one of his favorite American Artists.

She [there have been many, but I'm talkin' Rosie here] once said to me:

"it's just like heaven being here with you, but your feetz are too big and you got a fat mattress!"

She changed it round for the record, due to some comments from Maxine Brown which I am not at liberty to divulge (not well known, but Maxine used to perform under the moniker mxBrown).

Then take a look at 6/8/77 a Winterland show,[Click to View YouTube Video] Now I like the Providence, Rhode Island show from May of '81,(also an October show) but that's because that is where I was. It was a home town show, of a sort, for the Boys as the family
That Bobby called his, was from the coast around there. Not New Port where the Old money was, but just west & a bit south,(is Saunderstown where I say it is? I'll have to check that for factuality)

The first brokedown was played on 8-18-70, Fillmore West.
Twelve days later they did a set in KQED Studios in SF that was brodcast on a local TV show called Calabration.
That set included brokedown. (deadbase jr. 1995) Keyword; "easy wind calibration" for another gem.

I have no idea how Jimi picked up on Rosie's private words to me, but he went ahead and used them at Monterey in his intro to Wild Thing.

Now my original wife was hanging out in the Motel Room with the boyz.
Could it be?

"I left town at dawn, with Marcel and St. John
Strong men belittled by doubt
I couldn’t tell her what my private thoughts were
But she had some way of finding them out"

An hour-long taped version of I Can See Clearly Now was recently discovered in an old piano bench out at Dylan's ranch near Thousand Oaks. Dylan played some piano and Johnny Cash, not Johnny Nash, sang and played, as well.

The rest of the band was not identifiable. The techies are at work on that as we listen.

Very relaxing...also not suitable for the kiddies.

I always wanted to go to the Isle Of Skye. As a company we were all about the formation of a small group adventure travel service. We were very South America focused / profitable.
Skye would have needed an expensive pre trip set up that involved accommodations and transportation.
I felt strongly that it would need a full time commitment, at least six months prep time
and hiring locals, there was no chance to break even.
I think somewhere I have posted snaps from Skye . . .

Seems I can't keep out of the deep end or the litter box
I'm gonna be goin' to the " birthplace" and the Tradman thread of Standard Rack, is timely
My stack seems twice his . Or the same size ? Without the drill. No bolts - a bar/hammer, instead of a claw hammer . A tybloc, not rope man. A 1st gen grigri ~ but mostly I carry doubles of 0 -4/5 cams and lots of wired nuts a few hexes a clog thing that covers size 3-4.5
Way to much
of old school heavy stuff, ridged stems no 3, a Clog cog, no 4 a blk(4) 90's era Camalot
The boat anchors - twin Grn (5) Camalots, and an early Yates made cam a Big Dude.
( I think that was what it was called) only come along on occasions when needed
Then smaller cams , including red and blue aliens, mostly the, 0 tcu, up to double
#1/2. Flexi frnd, & red and pink tri-cams.
That and kit it weighs to much, I'll try
Fifteens, slings n' 'bieners, 15 wired nuts, 15 cams, 5 tri-cams,
4 belay devices devices,
[No show utube=-PtJyxuP2T] what was it wher it, were they worthy?
Time to pop out ~ not off,

Some amazingly beautiful images and music here, thank you, Hooblie, Mouse, zB, cosmic, jefe, all.

And for your holiday, here are the words from a beautiful card I received yesterday, and the words seemed very Quakerly to me. Which makes a lot more sense when you notice the author. :)

The Search For Common Ground; An Inquiry into The Basis of Man’s Experience of Community, page 104.

"When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flock,

The work of Christmas begins:

To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among people,
To make music in the heart."
Howard Thurman

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and a life of blessings as well as
Peace and Light—and music— to us all,
