Drunk again in a new place. A great little wine bar with a solo-guitarist, who ended up playing Pink Floyd.
A Fritz & Heidi road trip to see friends in N. Idaho, with a Heidi inspired stop over in Walla Walla, WA on the way home.
There has been a "boutique-winery" explosion here in the last few years with now over 110 wineries in this fairly-cool 1800's college town.
My lack of wine-coolness is now obvious.
Due to my poor appreciation of fine wines, I find the local red wines tart, lacking in bouquet, & sour in after-taste. Hopefully another day of testing local wines will cure my problem.
Or maybe, I just need to get drunk?

Well, Cosmic, you can see he's pretty excited, bless his heart.
Into a '12 Mendoza Malbec, Layer Cake (LOL!), that is pretty damn good. Really strong
and lasting finish with currants and leather. I bet Pete could do with some leather, eh?

Dinner with my son and his girlfriend ... I leave tomorrow for a few months...I'll miss them. Hopefully they'll come to Moab for a vist.
We had great wine, margaritas and one of those nouveau cocktails. Good, but 4 year olds could drink them.

Drinking margaritas while Pete patches the holes in his pig. He will be reinforcing my newly acquired used pig with foam (he's got to earn his keep, right?), and then we will continue drinking more margaritas while watching Curb Your Enthusiasm and eating corn on the cob.

Good Friday evening, all - from the sprawling metropolis of Cave City, Kentucky. Where the beers are cheap and cold, and we await the setting of a New World's Record in speleology tomorrow.
